I recently receive emailed a provided and got a auto responese about how they have send my email and ip address to the lapd CRIMINAL DIVISION about how it may be used for prosecution and so on. Can anyone tellme what this is and what it means.

This is most likely a prank, and the email address you wrote to probably doesn't really belong to a provider. Besides, unless you were foolish enough to both use your real name or email address AND offer money in exchange for sex, your email probably doesn't amount to anything criminal by itself. It could get you scrutinized a bit, though, if it can be traced to you.
