Feel like I just got scammed - not sure NM laws

I just hired someone to visit me in my hotel room in NM through an agency. They asked for my full name along with my hotel info to confirm I was really there before coming to visit. I'm not sure why I agreed to share my name, but I did and I used my real name since that's what the hotel room was under. Upon arrival, after paying for the agency fees, I was asked to sign a waiver that had to do with agreeing that I was not taking video or images, but it made me really uncomfortable that it was prefilled with my full name, and now it has my signature. Is this normal? Is it required by law? In retrospect, I should have refused and asked her to leave but I was nervous and caught off guard.

Now I'm concerned they have a signed record of this event.

Not to mention the overall experience was terrible - she demanded twice the fees in tips (I paid 1X in tips up front), talked AT me for 30-45 minutes, barely a word from me, and certainly nothing more intimate, then said her time was up and demanded more in tips again, which i wouldn't do. We didn't play in any way. In retrospect, I'm happy about that, considering how uncomfortable I am that the agency now has my full name and dated signature.

edit: to add, this is a first time thing for me. I was bored and curious and didn't read up in advance. just found something on backpage and went for it. I feel really naive and it all kind of hit me that it was a huge mistake as I found myself signing the sheet. I only found this site while freaking out afterword over the whole experience.

Is there anything I can do at this point to have them destroy that record?

it's always best to research your companion up front first. Reviews? did you check out her online persona? As past behavior tends to be the best predicator of future behavior-that is the primary step. (we ladies do the same with references for gents) No you didn't? then you pretty much put faith into the wind on an unknown then.

Sometimes a best first experience is going to be with a newbie friendly independant... they screen you..they Choose to see you and there is no one behind the scenes taking a good chunk of their $ . in agencies- the lady makes more of her $ off of tips-if she can get them and the agency sends her to you..often the girl cannot veto - nor even knows who they are meeting. wouldn't you rather meet someone who is interested in seeing you?

The form about the video recording- well, that's a new one (agencies that i knew in the past-sort of an old school practice had a "no sexual services" form- I know, I know..but it reiterated and took the agency out of the equation that if/when both parties decided to play that it was a mutual decision between the two parties and not contracted for-kept them out of any legal muck..that was late 90's and early 2000's).... the video one may be because there is more than one A**H**** in the industry who is secretly videotaping ladies and placing them online. this gives them some legal recourse with that particular website to be able to yank those asap.

As for full name etc- I wouldn't worry. If i owned an agency and wanted to stay out of trouble and provide a safe environment for my ladies to work in- and my regulars to come back without fear of legal exposure- I would never ever send a woman out on a job (esp with a newbie or unknown) without knowing where and with whom she is with. Too many women have been harmed, robbed and killed in this world- I'd be a bit relieved-although it was far from the experience that you had hoped for-that the agency at least screened out of care for their girls and to stay out of trouble

I'd go with a reputable independent next time- after some research on your end.

Thanks for the replies. Melinda, that puts me a bit at ease and makes sense.

I don't have a name for the agency, and the "Model Referral Agreement" I signed appears generic. All I have is the number i called and the model's name, but given my concerns about my own privacy, I don't want to out anyone. I hope you understand.

Lesson learned, and if I ever decide to try this again, TER will be where I start.

I've been a TER member for nearly as long as they have been here. A VIP membership is worth it's weight in gold. But, even at that, sometimes the little head still just leads us around. Even experienced hobbyists get taken in on occasion - I can speak to that, unfortunately.

Be safe,

DW

but there are no reputable agencies in NM that I know of.  Zero.  There have been, and from your post still are, some scam outfits posing as agencies that in reality are just cash and dash as you discovered.  Also, Backpages in notoriously untrustworthy, at least it is here in NM.  But you have now discovered TER, yay!  Join up with a VIP membership and limit your future dating to well reviewed providers here.  You'll be fine.  By the way, since you toftt, care to out the "agency" that scammed you, by name?
