are different in every State. So without knowing what
State, a lawyer can't do very much for you.
It is true that a lawyer cannot tell you how to break
the law. However, a lawyer can tell you what is legal
and illegal and why exactly. If an attorney's advice
helps you avoid things that are clearly illegal, that
is something a lawyer can do. You may end up staying
in the murky areas or on safer ground, but I don't
think that is a problem.
