Background check customs?

So I sent off the requested info, and a few days later nothing back.  Should I assume that means my application wasn't accepted?  Is it customary to receive a rejection letter, or just assume, no news is bad news?  Should I send a quick follow up?  After all, email isn't 100%, especially with the free services.  I just don't want to come off as being too pushy.

Presuming you did not ask for anything illegal in your e-mail, I would send another one and possibly give her a call. Sometimes the lady is away from the computer for a few days. Sometimes it gets accidentally deleted with all the other junk mail.

If you mentioned something you should not have, some ladies may permanently blacklist you.

I think it would be ok to check back with her after a few days and you should get a reply. Of course, as mentioned already, if you did mention anything out of line, you may have just spooked her and will probably not hear from her.

I did everything that was requested.  and I was sure that there was no content that offended her.

I waited for about 5~6 days, and I ended up calling the provider.  It turned out that for some reason, her computer went bonkers and did not get any emails that was sent during the past week.

I would say give it a few more days...and just call the provider explaining your situation......

but only if the provider indicates that it is okay to call her.

If she is a popular lady, she receives lots of e-mails daily.  Sometimes there are computer problems as was pointed out above.  Wait a few days and try again.  If you don't hear back after a few more days, it might be time to move on.

You've sent in the application...  it would be right to call, say you've already submitted the application & try to set a date.

I'm not a naturally patient person myself, guess its the nature of my profession.  I have found that I'm better off just going some where else for the time being.  Later on, send her another e-mail or call her is she gave you a contact #.

I'v found that that seems to work best rather than making conclusions about her intentions when you really don't know what they are. She may just be overwhelmed with contacts.

email systems suck - couldve went to her spam/bulk /junk folder and people hardly ever check them -

They really think they are all spam and junk emails
