Sorry for the long post but I'm a new hobbyist who recently found TER. I had what I felt are two bad experiences when I recently came to Vegas and tried the hobby for the first time.
The first provider I tried looked great in her ad, but when she showed up did not half as pretty as the ad. I put the listed donation in an envelope and gave it to her when she came in. She then asked for more money, saying the first amount was "just for her showing up". She asked for, and I gave her the same amount as the original donation. She then proceeded to only give me a HJ and finally said she would do me a favor and give a CBJ.
The second experience was similar, the girl came in, looked nothing like her ad, and then wanted more money to do anything.
Both providers said they were independent in their ads. The second provider had one highly rated review in TER.
FWIW I'm not a bad looking guy and was clean and respectful.
Is this typical of the hobby? What do you do if someone shows up who looks nothing like their ad?
Should I post a negative review regarding these two?
Any guidance is appreciated.
I like incall for my first visit.. If I arrive and she looks nothing like her photos it is my option to leave..
I always like to get a hug before I place the donation down.. A hug from a pro and a hug from a rip off are entirely different..A pro isn't going to ask you for the donation in the first minute.before I have a chance to discretely place it.
If the provider only has one review, to be safer, make sure the reviewer has abundant reviews of other providers,otherwise you might be reading her BF or Gfs review.
It would be cordial of you to post a review for the Vegas guys ...The worst they can do is put you on their Do Not See list...

Yes, you were ripped off!!! Bait and switch, old pictures, doctored pictures, up selling, etc, all count as rip offs IMHO!!!
No, this is not typical of the hobby, but in Vegas, it is not only the casinos that are aiming to fleece the tourists!!! Using sites like TER can greatly reduce your chances of these experiences. Now you say the 2nd gal had a "highly rated review". Was that her only review, or was it sandwiched between some not so great ones? Was it her only review? If so, who wrote it? How many reviews has he written? A review on TER is fine, but if she only has one, written by a one time reviewer, you have to take it with a grain of salt. Multiple reviews, written by guys who have multiple reviews is what you need to look for. This is why VIP membership and careful research is so important.
Post negative reviews, it is up to you. Again, IMHO, gal 2 has a TER presence, so a warning to other hobbyists is most welcome. Just be careful, a lot of guys post reviews of each and every of the not-so-great early experiences, which can be interpreted as being impossible to please. Remember, you have 2 months in which to post review. Try again at home, using more careful research! Enjoy a fantastic hour, and then decide if you want to share your disappointments.

Your experience sounds typical of Las Vegas. There are plenty of good providers there, but there are a lot more rip-offs there preying on the out-of-town, once-a-year hobbyists.
I used to travel there a lot, but for better or worse, I only had the time to see one provider there. However, before I saw her, I did an extra amount of research to make sure she was legitimate, and I wound up having a great time.
In Vegas, you just have to be extra careful and diligent. After a while, you'll develop a better instinct for this.
Keep trying.
In general, upselling (asking for more once she arrives) happens. I avoid ladies that upsell. It shows you their mindset, and I don't want to see a lady with that mindset (or one who doesn't try to hide her motive).
If you read the detail reviews, you will be able to tell who upsells. You can then avoid that lady. Now that you have been upsold, doesn't a $20 VIP membership look cheap?
You don't say how much the donation was. In theory, her appearance fee could have been $50, and you gave another $50 for HJ/CBJ. Not a bad deal. However, I get the feeling that her appearance fee was much more. $200 total for a CBJ is too expensive, but I think LV is an expensive city. Anything more is a real ripoff.
BTW: If she is going to upsell you, make sure you agree on what you are paying for before handing over the additional fee.
I came to TER after being upsold, cheated, etc... if this was not the case, TER would not exist.
YES, VIP is cheap insurance compared to the other costs in time / lost opportunity / cash.

and you MUST read the details. One of the things you have to watch out for is that Bait and Switch agencies will have shills that will write reviews for the advertised ladies. Since the shills typically write reviews for more than one lady, they can be mistaken for a "respectable" reviewer because they have multiple reviews to their credit. So, if you look for a lady with at least ten reviewers, each of whom has multiple reviews, you should be safe from the upselling and such.
If you identify the second provider you are talking about, one of us can better determine if it was just a case of the provider smelling newbie meat and going in for the kill, or if the reviewer is an outright shill. Either way, if you post an honest review, it will be appreciated by all. It's really what this site is about.

To those who suggested, I'll post reviews on both to prevent others the same fate. To those who wondered, the donations were over 400, before the tip.

I'd say that you were seriously ripped off. Some ladies don't have as many reviews as has been suggested (more is better).
It takes some time to learn how to do searches on phone numbers just the 7 in the phone box, area code in that box, no other data. Then do a just name search.
Sometimes the numbers can be misleading, so do read details of anyone you're considering. There are providers who are honest, consistant performers.

I would have missed one of the great ones if I had waited for her to have at least ten reviews..One review by a reputable local TER hobbyist is good enough for me..Of course I am speaking of the D.C area and it was easy to figure out the reputables.I am sure other areas are different..Vegas.. all the rules change
If you read the rip off reviews on TER then you will see that this technique, charging more than the advertised price, also known as "upselling", is a common tactic of dishonest providers.
If you found TER after the fact then dont feel bad about your experiance. Definatly write a review so others will be warned of the girls you saw and in the future only see girls with good reviews. Seeing a girl with only one or two reviews is a risk, you should always view the history of the reviewer in this case and if the reviewer only has that review or one or two more than be very cautious.

but there was a time that I would call an escort service and get quoted a ridiculously low number for an hour. (I'm talking maybe $50-$75, but this was in 1975.) and I knew I was going to get anything other than someone coming to my door for that.
After the "house" fee was settled, we then did a bit of bargaining and for another $100-200 depending on what I could afford back then; I'd get a quickie massage with a hand release up to FS.
Sometimes it was just OK, and sometimes it was pretty darn good.
Some gals would get me to pop quickly (not a hard thing to do to a 20 something) and then scoot. Others would stay and chat for twenty minutes and then work on me for the second pop.
Times are much better today with this site and the reviews and all; and I don't mind not having the negotiations and all; but it sufficed back then.
