We have all been there at some point! Probably the best thing for you to do is first read some of the threads of interest on the first few pages here. Then basically the way to get over the fear factor is to do your research in the 'search reviews' section and find a lady you are comfortable with, one who has good reviews and your are comfortable with the fact she is legit. That is much better than just going on to Eros or some other ad site and start contacting ladies with your fingers crossed. Hope that helps get you started.
so true...but I know how I feel I would not see anyone on an email contact only. I require a phone Number And an initial conversation as well as the emails you sent, and references from you.

Concerning CL, I started on CL and backpage in this biz and I have never ripped anyone off or cheated anyone I treat my Gentleman well. They are out there but why would you look there,(unless of course you knew what to look for and were not new at this) when you can find all of what you want here, this site has literally Done half your homework for you.
If she is on CL or Eros or any other site if she has been around a while and in good standings with her clients,treats them well she most likely has Ter reviews also.

I don't meet anybody without their phone numbers, and I talk to everybody before meeting. That is part of my screening. Even if you are able to meet a lady without giving out your phone number, it still won't protect you. Stick to a well reviewed provider, and you should feel comfortable that they screen because it means they are being careful and playing it wisely.
I need it for screening. If a gentleman refused to give it, or his last name to me, I would put him on my DNS list. (new abbreviation for me!!)
1) Go to Nevada where it is legal and no screening (except for STD's).
2) Get a disposable phone. Virgin Mobile tends to offer phones for $20, and they give you $20 of airtime. So, it is like getting the phone for free.
3) Find something else to occupy your time.

Somehow the family has ended up with 3 phones from the same manufacturer. They all use the same battery. It is convenient to swap batteries for the hobby phone.

All joking aside my first visit I was mortified..I had done diligent research for months...When I finally got the nerve to go ahead and make a appt with my favorite first,I started thinking "what if this is a set up" and then when I called to confirm when I was on the way she said on the phone " You do realize the donation is $300... I knew then it was probably a set up...She gave me the room # and since her room was on the sixth floor I went on with the plan... I figured if LE was there I would just jump out the window and run.I knew they wouldn't jump after me from that height. Last time I ran from them I only jumped from three floors and they didn't follow.
It turned out great and I didn't have to jump..

Or, understand that providers need to feel safe. If you are uncomfortable with their screening, try another hobby. Otherwise, go with well reviewed providers with good reputations.
