I know of at least one provider who I have seen who is "mentoring" another provider...in fact when I couldn't see the mentor she suggested I see her "apprentice".

I realize that there can be a lot of competition and stuff but your best bet is maybe to do a search and find another provider local to you who is willing to discuss the business.  I've seen many a message on this board where the ladies help each other out.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but has anyone offered or suggested some sort of provider appreticeship?  Granted, I'm not sure if that's the best thing to call it.  As a less experienced provider, I was wondering if someone more established could serve as a go-to for questions I may need answered, support, etc.  I realize the provider forum is available and I may be asking a lot, but I don't have access to it.

I would be the first one to sign up to see a Jedi Provider and her young Padawan Learner (over 18 of course) and let them practice their wiles upon my willing body.

:-)

I think Ginger Lynn made a movie about this in the 80's, and the BBBJ scene was particularly memorable as she was schooled on the fine art.  I'm starting to love this idea.

Seriously, Diva, you just impressed the shit out of me.  I think that you have one hell of a drive and determination to succeed just by coming on this board to ask for help like this, and I hope that others follow your example.  I'm very interested to see the response you get from other providers because, really, this is what the Newbie board is all about.  We all advise new providers to seek out providers in different forums for help, and here you are doing it.  Good luck, and I'm eagerly anticipating the responses that you are going to get from the fine ladies that frequent this board.

Ok great.  I will def. try to search for info!  And thanks for the word, "MENTOR".  That is a more appropriate word for what I'm looking for.

I am convinced that the board is primarily a place for ladies to engage in lingerie clad pillow and tickle fights, but I hear it is a place to exchange info on bad/dangerous clients, screening tools, getting the best deals on incalls and travel, etc.

There are other resources like dangersone411.com and the like.  But the ladies know best, try it, you might like it.

Also, some new(er) ladies find a local, experienced partner.  They often share an incall (or sublet it) do duos together, etc.  A new gal can gain some experience at the feet of a more experienced lady that way.

This is what I am looking for too.  I tried taking down different girl's numbers I found on various escort advertising sites and calling them.  Most of the time I got no answer.  There was one girl who did talk to me for a little bit but she wasn't very talkative and quickly hung up with the more questions I asked (probably thought I was police).  I don't know how to approach someone over the phone.  I definitely think it would be better to do online, but I don't have VIP so I can't message people.  I have an appointment at an agency on Thursday.  I figured that would be a way to get started rather than trying to be independant at first (although I still made a webpage and tried to start up the independant thing today.  You never know...if I started getting calls I would definitely not go to the agency)

Hey yall.  I'll tell you what I've learned about being a new provider.

Reviews are like gold.  If you meet a fellow, ask him politely to give you a review.  No access to P411 or the provider boards w/o reviews.  Unfortunately, reviews are slow to come b/c no one wants to see an unreviewed provider.  Vicious catch-22.

As someone else said, stay the hell away from Craigslist.  Those guys usually refuse to be screened.

Screen men before you see them or give them your number (unless you have a biz phone).  One way is to ask him if he's seen a provider before; email the provider with a few details to jog her memory.  Just remember, if you don't know the provider, her referral isn't the best way.  Create your own screening process (the Internet is amazing and no one will know you googled him) or don't see him.

Take your own condoms with you.  Take a couple magnums, too.

Use common sense and be observant of your surroundings.

Get a webpage.

Find providers in your area who have lots of reviews and email them.  They're most familiar with your city and will be the ones giving you referrals on hobbyists.

No personal experience with this, but if questioned by cops, shut up, shut up, and then shut the F*^# up some more.

xoxo

You have to have 3 TER reviews before you can request access.  Likewise, there are many other provider only boards and sites, but you have to establish as part of the sisterhood to gain access to them.

In the meantime, here is a thread I think new gals will find useful, and I would recommend keeping an eye on the authors blog!

or if your regional board isn't very active there is probably a local board that is good.  Get on the local board and post...it doesn't need to be an ad.  Just respond to someone else's post or start a thread of your own.

Like, "what makes aguy see an unreviewed new provider?"

Also, on the local board you can establish a repoire with some local ladies.  In Seattle they really do help one another a great deal.  Find one that might offer a duo session with you.  It can help you get a review or two.

Maybe you'd just like to come to Seattle and do me.  I don't charge much and do need my first review too!  Though I am sure I would not like the honest truth.....
