1. Best round each day (ie 5 under, 7 under, etc)
2. winning margin - winner wins by 1 stroke, 2 strokes, etc.
3. what is the cut - even par, Plus 1, etc

Hi everyone!

Just a quick message to see what forthcoming sporting events you'd like to see a chance to earn some VIP days with here on TER. We are unquestionably going to do a competition for Wimbledon, and I would like to do one for the US Open golf, but I'm unsure of what the format should be for that (suggestions would be very welcome!), as picking a winner out of a large field seems like a good way to make sure no one wins anything, and that's not the goal of these competitions! Obviously we will be doing the weekly NFL picks competition but that's a few months off yet, so if anyone has any ideas to supplement the baseball competition, now's the time to let us know. If there is enough interest in any one game or tournament or event, then we'll make something happen.

On a related note, prizes for the Champions League have now been awarded, and we're trying to gauge the interest in a competition for the women's World Cup (see post below), but that seems to have died on the vine somewhat. Would love to hear your thoughts!

ght after the Super Bowl until March Madness is one of period of sheer boredom and unfortunately, right after the NBA/NHL finals until the NFL season kicks off is another down time. The reality is that interest in sports during those time periods is spotty at best. There is a reason July/August are referred to as the dog days of summer.

There really isn't anything you can do to excite the masses. Continue running the weekly baseball pool, and take advantage of specific events (i.e. as you mentioned Wimbeldon, US Open) and offer some level of competition.

Number of swing coachs in a year?
Weekends missing the cut?
Tournaments won?
Girl friends?

and of course........

Golf:   how about picking a player who finishes in the top three, or two?   Or, forget the players, and just pick the winning score?

Tennis:  how about who makes it to the finals, and then who wins the finals.  Bonus days for picking the number of sets the finals go.

Besides Wimbledon, the US Open for tennis will begin in New York starting August 31st.

As far as the Women's World Cup, I like women and I like soccer.   But I just don't really care for women's soccer.   Does that make any sense?

The next few rounds of Womens world cup like the elimination rounds and final and so on.

Individual sports like tennis and golf majors are way too tough unless you let us pick like 5 favorites and if one of the 5 win then we win.

NFL was fun but having to pick the final score and only one winner was pretty tough - baseball you just pick the winner and more than 1 person has the chance to win. Try college football also - like the game of the week that is usually on ABC on Sat nights.
