I recently set up an appointment with a lady from an agency that has a very good reputation, but there's a few things that seem a little strange. First off, she told me over the phone that she would be staying in a private residence for incall instead of a hotel. She's travelling from quite a ways out of town, how and why did she get a hold of someone's apartment? Second is that there's an ad for her posted on craigslist. As far as I know, this agency just doesn't use craigslist. Those 2 points aren't too concerning on their own, but I've already been given the general location of the incall. Its about 1 mile from the local police department.

Now, I know I'm going to be asked if I was screened, as a setup would not involve screening, and the answer is sort of. I've seen a provider from this agency before, and when I set up that appointment I was screened. When I set up this appointment, I mentionted my previous date, and that satisfied the screening requirement.

Should I be concerned?

You've dealt with the agency before, so there's not much more info you can get on that.  They were reputable the last time you saw them.  Your concern seems to be that they were turned and are now part of a sting operation.  I wouldn't be surprised if that has happened, but I imagine it is very rare.  The agency bust would involve felonies, asset seizures, and maybe state lines.  While your situation is a misdemeanor, so a bird in the hand...

Being located close to the PD doesn't mean much since the police do have cars.  Unless the incall is IN the PD, I wouldn't use this as a criterion.

w.r.t. the apartment, it's not common, but I'm aware of local providers who will sublet rooms at their incall to traveling ladies.  That may be what is going on.

The craigslist thing is disconcerting, but it happens.  Given the economy it may become even more common as standard bookings fall.  I have also seen a rare ad from big name agencies such as MU appear on craigslist ... usually with a new lady at the agency.

Now, given that advice, also let me say.  If you feel uncomfortable, cancel with notice and move on.  It's no big deal and you can schedule an appointment that feels better to you.  Sometimes your gut instinct is right on.  Even when it isn't you may find that you have gotten so worried that you can't enjoy the appt.

I once was considering cancelling an appointment for that same night (which I would never do without good reason) because I really wasn't feeling quite right. Something just wasn't sitting well with me and I was uncomfortable and not feeling good, and not in a nervous way. I just felt like I should be cancelling the appointment and staying home and going to be early. But I had been waiting all week and hate to miss a travelling girl (she was only in town for 2 days). Well I ignored my gut feeling and went through with it. Turns out I ended up having to leave early because I had food poisoning! I don't remember much of the date except that I couldn't enjoy it.

I have since always decided that I feel I should cancel, I cancel.

If the procedure isn't the same as usual, there must be a reason.  I would avoid that agency and find someone else.

On the other side, I've turned dowm appointments because he mentioned $$ or asked if I'm "full service."  They may have been legit, but why take the chance?
