Try to read the reviews on this provider in TER if she is listed. Some providers require an hour notice and some require few days. A week in advance seems a bit long in my opinion. Send another request seems reasonable since emails can get lost or get caught by spam filters. Or you can move on...

How far in advance should you contact a provider?  I find when I call or email about next week, they usually cannot say anything one way or the other till the day before.

Following the advice here, I use p411 to send an email to providers I'd like to meet.  There's one who's highly rated that I'd like to meet, but have not heard anything back.  I'm sure she's in demand.  Would it be appropriate to send another email out next week or does that just look stalkerish?

From reading some reviews, people have commented on how easy/hard it is to arrange a date; but I'm not sure if they're talking about getting no reply?

I would send another however, not familiar with P411 does this include your vitals?  I know many of the ladies get inundated with stupid e-mails and will only answer the ones that have information provided that she requests upon initial contact.  Does this particular provider have a web sight and if so does she use a fill-in format?  If the answer is no then another e-mail with your info included and date/time requested should suffice, if no reponse then move on.

For myself, I like to plan about one to two weeks ahead, and I have found a group of regualrs for whom this is no problem.

With arranging an out of town visit, I plan a month or more ahead.

In both cases, I stay in touch leading up to the time of the appointment just to see that everything is moving smoothly.

There are many providers who won't consider an appointment more than a few hours ahead because they are always getting canceled on.

When you set up what's important for you, the rest will fall into place.

Thanks for the help.  It is my personality to plan things out; but I can adjust.  I was not aware from the provider's perspective that "NO-shows" were a  problem?

If I may ask a provider, how often does this happen w/ new clients?

Hopefully once I find a regular, it'll make scheduling easeir for both of us.

Re. p411, it sends my screened-ID and link to profile, so it should have everything they need.

Are you contacting providers who travel around, without a permanent incall?  There are some Chicagoland providers who work out of different hotels and that is why, until they figure out their schedules, they cannot book appointments too far in advance.  Most providers, however, appreciate advance bookings.

SINfully sinthia

PS, if you haven't heard from a provider in a day or two, do contact her again.  Your e-mail may be lost in cyberspace, caught in her junk mail or spam filters, or perhaps you typed the wrong e-mail address.

they usually cannot say anything one way or the other till the day before.

Dont understand that one..lol

If someone contacts me for an appt for the next week or two, I simply look at my appt book to see if there is anything already scheduled, let them know the dates and times that are taken, and allow them to decide which day and time (roughly) and get back to me when they know anything further.  Then, I make a note of it in the book (so and so possibly this week) etc..  I also print out the email, note that and stick it the appt book for that week.

If they get back to me, then I have a reminder...if they dont, when that week is over, I toss the printed email and remove the note in my book.

Now.  Regarding no response..when I see an email from P411, those are the 1st emails I open.  Print it, go to 411, verify the info, print it, email back with a response.

If she hasnt responded after a few days...if you really really want to see her, email her again saying you had recently sent her a request and was resending in the case you overlooked the 1st one, maybe it got pushed down in the inbox and she hasnt seen it....something like that.  If you dont get any response after that...move on to the next one.

Ive overlooked emails before and as soon as Ive seen them, even though the opportunity may have passed, I STILL respond with an apology of not seeing the email, etc etc. A no response at all is tacky at best!

By sending another email I wouldnt constitute as "stalkerish" by any means....
