but after 17+ years, ESPN's Friday Night Fights is no more.  As a hardcore boxing fan, I appreciated the opportunity to watch the many boxing matches offered by this production.  Many of the boxers were beginning their careers, and many of them were in the twilight of theirs.  As boxing has been dying a slow death in the mainstream sports scene (at least in the US), this show provided one of the rare opportunities to watch professional boxing, and other than my cable bill, it was not Pay-Per-View.  Thanks a lot ESPN, and thank you Teddy Atlas for carrying the boxing torch.  I will forever be a fan!
