I'm a newbie for sure but I'm very interested. I'm sorry to say that I don't know what a P411 is. Can you please elaborate. Thanks

I am a newbie, and this will be my very first time. Would you recommend that I use an escort service first? I am very nervous about this, but I am ready. I just want to make sure I do everything right, first. I am trying to do all my research before making an appointment. What should I do to get verified or receive clearance prior to making my appointment? I have been reading on the newbie board and have gotten some great suggestions. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I am in the Atlanta area, discretion is a must because I am 50 and married. I want this hobby to be a great experience and want to do all I can before starting this new experience.

Welcome newbie.  As others have given me advise, I will pass along to other newbies.  Get a VIP membership on TER.  It will tell you a lot about the provider.  Do your homework by reviewing the provider's information and read the reviews about the provider.  The more reviews on a provider, the better it will be for your experience and your safety.  I am very certain that others will put in their 2 cents and give you useful information.  Safe hobbying.

Welcome, I'm also an Atlanta resident. 1st, stay off Craig's List.  Atlanta PD Vice Unit works Craig's List like they own it.  I recently saw a picture of an attractive female detective that used to work narcotics, now she is in vice, and on Craig's List.  For some oddball reason Atlanta PD Administation thinks escorting and drug rings go hand in hand.  Well, thats not true, but they are real bull headed about their presumption.

Go with essential referrals.  Monika runs a tight ship and has some of the best ladies you will ever find. Also, you might consider P411.  If you don't know what this is send me a PM.
Good luck, stay safe.

which can definitely be a safe first step, just search the hell out of the reviews and stick like glue to the provider you pick.  If she is not available, don't feel pressured by yourself or the booker to take another provider.  You should go into this as comfortable as possible, and you may consider explaining to the agency booker that you are a 1st timer so that the provider is clued in.  It may ease some awkward moments if you commit a faux pas.  Also, tell her when you get there in case she didn't get the heads up.

Looks like you already got a recommendation about an agency from  GT and I would encourage you to keep looking at the Atlanta board for other agencies that are active.  You can tell a lot from the responses (or lack thereof) that the agencies get from the other members.

Once you get your feet (or something else :-) ) wet, consider branching out to the independents, which are a whole new, wonderful experience.

Good luck

Again Dixie Chicken, thanks for the suggestions. Now I am going to seem very nieve again. What does faux pas mean? I think I know, but please clarify. Also, your suggestion to me earlier to consider changing my handle is a good one. I am going to follow that advice. Thanks GT for your suggestions. I will check out that particular agency. I have another question I would like answered. I have been reading on other boards about the concerns because of the recent scandal in NY. Do most hobbiest use an alias, or do they use all geniune information. I have read where some agencies and providers require forms of ID, especially for newbies. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. Discretion is of utmost importance, but I also want to be respectful, and understand the security issues for providers. Trying to balance all these issues seems to be difficult for all. Thanks for advice from those with experience, and additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I will continue to read and do my research before booking my first appointment.

A faux pas is basically unintentionally offending someone while doing or saying something that you believe is either innocent or correct. The whole "girl" thing on the other board would be a minor example.

Do not use a fake name when screening.  A good provider or agency will want to verify whatever information you give, and if they catch you in a lie, not only will you be turned away, you may very well be put on a universal "Do Not See" (DNS) list as a possible LE threat.  If you have researched, and the person you are approaching has at least ten reviews from reviewers with at least five or more reviews apiece, you should feel relatively safe providing basic identification screening so that the lady you are trying to see can determine as best as possible that you are not LE or otherwise unsafe.

The level of information required is different with each provider or agency, and the bottom line is that it will be as much as they need to feel safe.  You have to take a leap of faith that the information will be safeguarded and destroyed.  It is the review research that allows you to take that leap.

After your first few times, you will begin, through experience, to develop an understanding of what is involved here.  Believe me, the providers have a lot more at stake here than you (like their lives) when screening for potential threats, and a basic respect for the "balls" it takes for them to schedule appointments and see total strangers in the most vulnerable of situations needs to be given.  From your post, you seem to recognize these issues generally, but only experience will help you begin to navigate through the system with enough confidence to manage the amount of information necessary while still letting the providers know you are safe.  That will come with references and the like.

Good Luck

and...I am way to old since you "like your girls young"  lol

Greetings!

I recommend verification sites (i.e. preferred411) as an excellent means to getting started. I have not been to an agency and have no reason to. However, they work well for others here so I wont knock 'em. I chose to go independent, and so I remain!

If you go through an agency the one likely difficulty you may receive is in obtaining referrals for meeting other SPs in the future. I guess an agency is more interested in keeping you with them, and less so in letting you go to the "competition" (other agencies and independent providers). This is just my take on it though, and is not based on any personal experience (only from what I have read on these boards).

I also suspect that agencies make a tastier target for LE, or will once CL runs out of idiots.

Regardless, only see a well-reviewed provider or agency, and you'll be smiling like the rest of us!

Have fun!
