Here in metro Atlanta, in the Sugarloaf Madam case, no custoemrs were ID'd nor prosecuted.  Most of the ladies that worked there flew the coup.  the Gwinnett County DA only knew a very few of the ladies ID's.  Most ladies were working there using an alias.  So, where's he evidence the guys did any thing criminal in nature?  Well, it flew the coup in most cases with the ladies. Mere presence at the scene of illegal activity is insufficient to warrant a conviction.  The Da must prove criminal intent and an illegal act.
Without the lady involved, no case.

I've never seen anybody prosecuted here except when they walked into a sting, usually off Craig's List.

If you call up a provider and she starts talking to you about money and sex acts tell her that's not what you were calling about, you just wanted an escort to take to dinner so you would not have to eat alone.  Then terminate the call.  Just use common sense.

I'm new to the hobby , and haven't even broken my cherry yet, even though I've been planning on doing so, very soon. The question I have for anyone to answer is, when I email escorts (pornstars) to let them know i'M INTERESTED, they send me a long questioneer asking everything from my name to phone number, occupation, etc. Based on recent events (Gov. Spitzer) I am unwilling to give too much info. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for me, or do I have to bite the bullet and take my chances? PLEASE HELP!

You know based on recent events, such as rapes and robberies, not to mention serial killers targeting ladies... many of us will not see you without your giving some info.  Are you a prominent political figure who has to worry about the media as Spitzer did, or are you under the mistaken assumption that all busts go down with such fanfare?  However, if you ARE a governor, I'm guessing many of us ladies would be hesitant to see you, for that reason.

You're on a great board here - try using the search function to look for "screening" and "references,"  you'll find this subject comes up often and has been discussed extensively.

**Edit to add:  Also that link up top "Acronyms and Newbie Manual" has great info!**

Have fun!

The long questioneer is referred to as a contact form. Most ladies are going to require information to make sure that you are legit, as Sola stated. If you scroll thru a few pages here you will find many discussions on this topic, it all amounts to what you are comfortable with. Stick with the well reviewed ladies and you should have no problems, just remember these ladies are just concerned about their safety and security.

if you use the search function on this board, you will find many posts about screening with mention of alternatives.  Alternatives include verifictation services (such as preferred411 and others) and seeing several agency girls first to get a "reputation" so that the agency can give you a reference.

In all cases, the lady's safety must come first.  If you see well established/reviewed ladies from TER, your information will be safe.  If you wander to CL, you are playing Russian roulette.

Seeing a provider who doesn't verify could be even riskier.  If she doesn't take care of her safety, she could get busted, and the cops will go through her files or use her to testify against former clients.

The provider has the greatest risk, providing the information is the least a guy can do.  It should provide comfort for both parties.  Keep in mind that you IP address goes with each email, your phone number with each call.  You are giving info to others all the time that can come back to bite you.

But, if she is busted, you may get inquiries to try and get you to testify or at least provide some information.  Those inquiries may be very inconvenient in your situation.

That said, with misdemeanors, they generally don't devote that kind of resources (outside of election years) for an independent.  Though with agencies, felonies are commonly involved as well as asset forfeiture, so I would be more worried about my info there.  It's hard to tell if there is a double standard on these things or if it is a question of sufficient evidence.  The ladies get prosecuted and rarely do the guys.  Though the guys may get persecuted if they are well known.

On the whole, I would recommend that you see a few ladies who will screen with work info and then try and use references from then on if you are worried about work info.
