I have no other explanation except for the slim possibility that the "heat was on" at the moment and they were expecting LE (possibly due to a tip) to be going after them during the time period you were there. I had an AMP girl as a GF for a while and she told me that sometimes they would do that when they knew the heat was on. And she has a very sweet, kind personality. I saw her a few times but then she went back home for a visit. I can't wait until she returns.
