In my last couple of provider visits, I've haven't been able to either get an erection, or I lose it once the condom goes on. I'm single and don't have an SO, so hobbying is my only sexual outlet, other than self-gratification. What is going on? This is really getting me down.
I'm 45 and in good health, other than mild high blood pressure, which I take Lisonipril for. From what I've read, it generally doesn't cause ED. I can get an erection when masturbating. Will an ED drug like Viagra help in my situation? I think, but I'm not sure, that my problem is mainly performance anxiety. Help! I'm worried.
It goes something like this: for some reason you can't get an erection one time. We men seem to attach incredible importance to achieving erections so ... the next time you're with a lady you have this niggling thought at the back of your mind, reminding you of last time and ... oh shit, not again! So relax, lie back, ask you friendly lovely lady to play with you, you'll probably rediscover your lost potency. Our lovely friends are understanding, and they have seen far more than you or I ever will. No one will judge you or think the less of you if once or twice you can't achieve full glory. Or go ahead, try Viagra, it might give you confidence. Personally, the few random times I've spent with our sweet ladies when I couldn;t quite get the turbos spooling I remember as delightful. Lying skin to skin with fingers tingling and exploring is just fine. Relax and enjoy it.

I am not a physician competent to make diagnoses, but I believe your medication COMBINED with performance anxiety can be a problem. Yes, Viagra or any of the newer ED drugs can help. It's worth a try, but please discuss this with your doctor and don't obtain Viagra on the Net or from someone other than your doc.
As to the performance anxiety, only you know how you react to the women you've seen so far. There may be other issues that are interfering temporarily. Work, stress, a myriad of things can block your enjoyment. The simple fact of holidays can bring on thoughts and feelings which can interfere with erection. Strange but true!
Go ahead and give your doc a call. Viagra, Levitra, Cialis etc may be just what the doctor will order.

my freind i am 51 years old,at age 43 i had mild high bp and dr also put me on lisinopril, i started very quickly having same problems. dont let anyone tell you they dont,different meds affect different people,as time goes on it will get better but not back to normal as long as you take bp meds.i take 10 mg cialis and it does the job very well, viraga did not help me that much either.but talk to your dr,,i am not one just sharing my expercince and others have told me same thing on ace inhibs......
You say you'r in decent health so my comments are in that light.
I've normal BP without exerction, but as physical activity increases,particularily in warm rooms, my BP soars ... I suspect you may have this issue. Heavy physical activity, warm rooms (girls always want the air off when their nude) and your BP soars and the pocket rocket fizzles.
Cialis my friend, and turn on the air conditioner and lower the heat load on the body.
Talk to the Dr. about this as well. There maybe life style issues you can correct to reduce the need for BP meds as well.

There could be many factors that be involved with your problem titusman.
1)Lifestyle, do you live a lifestyle where you are not doing that much excersise.
2) Diet, are you eating lots of meats and drinking lots of soft drinks and not enough fruits and vegetables.
3) Workout more, keep your body healthy.
4) Employment and Personal stress, are you having alot of stress in those areas of your life.
5) age, has we get older, well you know what happens.
These are some factors that could be causing this.
