Hi Sky,

Thanks for the response.  You raise many interesting points.  It sounds as though you had an interesting experience with that fellow!  TV news is all about shock.  That’s not my aim.  Firstly, this would probably be for a long article in a magazine or alternative paper.  My objective is not to sensationalize, glorify, denigrate, promote or make any sort of opinions regarding the lifestyle, etc.  It’s simply to tell a story about people.

So why would this be interesting?  I’m going to guess that most of the general public do not partake in this hobby, so to them it’s a mystery.  Good stories usually introduce people to things they don’t know about, yet at the core reveal the common element that we are all humans, sharing the same desires/feelings/struggles.  The film Titanic was a love story.  Shawshank Redemption was about friendship.  But both stories, on the face of it, seemed to be about a sinking ship or life in prison.  And both did take us there, giving us a peek at the experience.  But the fundamental stories were about the people.

And though most members of the public do not partake in this lifestyle, I’d bet that most would have an opinion about it.  But since they aren’t participants, they’d be making assumptions.  Assumptions about providers.  Assumptions about hobbyists.  A lot of people, for example, might look at a long-haired, tattooed Harley rider cruising by and assume that person is a bad ass mofo when in fact he’s a vegan pediatrician pacifist who organizes church missions to South America and just happens to love cruising on his hog.  To me, he’d make an interesting story.  Why?  It busts assumptions.  It lets people learn about an individual human while causing them to re-examine their prejudices.

So no, I have zero interest in following people around, setting up situations, finding dirt on regulars, wiring anyone, etc.  I’m simply interested in the people-side of the lifestyle and am wondering what assumptions we can bust and what experiences would make most, maybe even you, say “wow, that’s cool/sad/inspirational/humanizing”

Thanks... Jon

I'm writing a story and am looking for both escorts and hobbyists who can tell me more about themselves, why they are into this hobby and if they have any interesting stories - be they happy, sad, etc.  Must be in the Phoenix area.

Don't worry, I respect anonymity and will not use real names, reference personal websites, etc.  If you are interested in being interviewed, please pop me a note @ [email protected]

Sample questions:

Hobbyists:
- At what point in your life did you get into this hobby?
- If married (and wife doesn't know), how do you go about 'taking care of business?'
-  How frequently to you partake?

Providers:
- How did you get your start?  Is this a short or long term career?
- Do you have a regular job where they don't know about your 2nd career?  What about other "communities" in your life?  For example, if you are a student do you worry about others at your school finding out?
- Is there a "typical" hobbyist, or patterns you've noticed about your clients?  For example, are most married?  Blue or white collar?
- Strangest requests?  This need not be sexual.  I found it intersting that a certain provider I met from here told me that one of her regulars simply pays her to read to him.

Again, please don't reply on the board.  This isn't a group discussion but content for a story.  Thanks!

Sorry but I had to reply. In some cases paticularly at 4:20 my mind can really wonder. So.... I had to respond. Please, forgive me if I start a discssion. lol
In response: I must first start off by asking you....
What in the world is this story for? Your own pleasure, are you just writing a story because you are fascinated with the life of an escort, your career, school, or perhaps you might be one of those people who get into the mix of mumble jumble to stir things up in the papers a little? What it is?
You see, I had to ask because I highly doubt any normal human being saying oh wow, I want to help make this story. NOt to sound weird but why?
I think some people make a bigger deal of what it is than it is. I mean, obviously I would not be here and have this kind of job if I was all freaked out about who was going to know and if anyone at school knew or who I was going to date, married with a blue collar or a yellow one. We are two people (or sometimes more) who are very sexual and like to explore our sexual side more than others. So what? Now there has to has to be stories about us?
I once had a guy call me. Maybe he was you... He was asking if I would meet him at his place of employment which was next to the Phx. police station and answer these same exact questions you have. It was his job for a news station. Then he even asked if I could be followed around when I worked. The story would be like; " the daily work of a sexworker" maybe some regulars would allow it. I was like, "What, are you fucking crazy?" Hugh, not in a lifettime. Then he was like, well, maybe you can hide a camera in your clothes. We could even discuss $$$. So what did I do... laughing it off silently I decided ok, he wants to play head games and cant take NO for an answer.. I said politely, ok... lets set it up. We will talk about my role play later. He was happy. So what did I do? I mede the appt and let him sit there alone waiting for me and wondering if I was really that stupid. Do these kind of people think they could really get us to do this? By offering $$$, hugh, we have enough of it. We dont have to put ourselves at even that much more risk no less our clients and even more our regulars.
Well, what ever your story is, or it is for, good luck!
Have a beautiful day writing your story!

Sky

Very well said Sky.  This guy sounds like he may be from The National Enquirer.  Tooooo Smoooth!  Watch out folks, this does not sound right.

No.  If you read my reply you'll see that I'm not seeking some dark story about the lifestyle, but rather interesting, human interest stories.

Sky should wear a brass plate, blue bloomers and a crown, because she's my sexy-ass hero! The best thing about that fine ass of hers is that she's willing to put it in front of me...not just to worship ;), but to watch my back.

I don't wish to berate this gentleman because I do find the industy very fascinating.  I think, if properly done, there is a very interesting story to be told.  But, as a happy hobbyist, I can't see any good become of it. Soon the story is being told on newschannel 3, pressure to beef up the streets, politicians seeking re-election, and whats more, a new wave of horny wannabees looking to tie up (figuratively) awesome women such as sky.

Might be an interesting question...but it has a boring answer. Truthfully we're all different and have different wants and needs. Obviously most of us like sex and/or sexuality (yes there IS a difference). Leaving those with an addication and/or a serious "void" out of the equation I'd say most of us simply enjoy the experience and variety....guess why so many of use refer to it as a hobby. Personally, my experiences are mine and in some strange way valuable and truely personal to me...and those I shared them with. Why not give one of the many providers we're gifted with a call....and then go email us your own stories:)
