UConn has a great program

UConn has a great system in place and with women college basketball most of the women stay for 4 years and thus can only improve as they gain more experience. If people want to see UConn get beat, then other colleges need to step up their woman's basketball program, which is slowly happening. Who would have thought South Carolina women's team would be in the position they are in now a couple of years ago. At some point there will be teams that will be able to knock off UConn on a regular basis, but it is going to take time for this to happen.

i would love to live in an alternate universe where Connecticut would NOT win the championship every year..this has to be the most predictable sport there is..

where people would celebrate winning and winners, as long as they are playing by the rules, and not rooting for someone to lose just because they have won "too many" times..  Whatever that arbitrary definition of "too many" is...

Unless UConn has a bunch of injuries come tourney time, and as long as Geno is coaching, they're going to be the team to beat. UConn took care of Maryland and Notre Dame, their two biggest challengers, with relative ease. If Stewart hadn't rolled her ankle in the final, the margin would have been a lot bigger. The women's game isn't that deep, with maybe 15-20 really good teams every year. Except for the hiccup against Stanford, UConn wasn't really challenged, winning by an average margin of 40 ppg. Except more of the same next year.

I'm sure he will continue to be winning until someone else is as good or better than him. Go UCONN and Geno! I'm a CT  girl so l always support and root for them and never get sick of them winning.:-)
