that you are referring to the DC based provider support agency, and not the popular Phoenix based agency.

You answer the same questions / provide the same info over and over.  But sometimes, you get a gem like this:

Seeking current or former provider to provide consultancy on novel
Posted by ****** , 3/20/2008 2:50:06 PM

I am currently under contract to write a novel entitled “The Ohmmmm Way: A Religious Experience.” It is a satirical farce on providers who sell Am-Way. I infiltrated Am-Way several years ago and found it to be very cult-like. Thus was born the idea to poke fun at an operation (Am-Way) that preys upon the fears of others. (Note the title includes a euphemistic Buddhist chant to avoid the organization’s legal wrath.) Anyway, I need a current or former provider willing to talk to me openly, yet anonymously, about the industry. (The book’s authenticity will prove crucial to its success.) My deadline is fast-approaching, so I would be much-obliged if anyone could help out or provide a lead. Will book appointment to acquaint myself if necessary. Will also provide ample screening info and provide due recognition -- via an alias -- in novel. Thanks.

umm ******, assuming that this is not a high school creative writing exercise, other than for it's laugh value, it doesn't belong here.  ISO - yes.  Off Topic - yes.

Again, assuming that you are on the level, you would do well to give people a means of contacting other than on a public board.  You are not a VIP, I checked, so PM isn't an option.  What are you expecting, someone to post "yeah I think Lisa will talk to you, here is her email and phone number"?  Right!!!  Everything in the hobby is about discretion.

Finally, if you are for real, I would suggest that find another place to log into the net.  Requests for providers to provide inside information on an illegal industry posted from a ".gov" DNS raises questions.  As moderator, I can see the IP address and DNS used for all posts.

The gals frequently mention the time wasting emails and far fetched requests they receive.  I believe this to be along those lines.  Ladies, you know I have said this many times before but I will say it again, you have my deepest respect, and gratitude.

did YOU ever sell Am-way? ;-)

It does make you wonder about the quality of thinker we have working in the government bureaucracy, using a ".gov".

As the saying goes, "Truth is stranger than fiction."

Ever since the Spitzer story broke, the boards have been flooded with requests from all stripes of "journalists" looking to get a piece of the action before America blinks and finds a new topic of facination.

Maybe half of them are on the level, the other half could be LE for all we know.

What we do know is:  The hobby is not advanced by talking to these whores (and I use the term advisedly).

There are legitimate organizations such as SWOP (Sex workers Outreach Project) that can offer the buisness' point of view.  The debacle that was 20/20 last night shows what will happen with anything given to the media.

As for Amway, I had a girl friend who got involved with that crap.  The organization is truly a cult.  A year or so later she became a provider; go figure.

there's gotta be some joy in that.  :-D

.gov ...  what an idiot.  LOL

Too funny - I sold amway when I was a kid.  I think I made 6 bucks...

But I'll bet if they sold some lube it would be really good!

Giggle,
TS Jamie :-)
