to call goal tending on UCLA’s desperation heave that even the announcer called “wide right.” That ball had no chance of going thru the net. Now SMU and 74 year old Larry Brown are out and UCLA, which didn’t deserve to even be in the tournament, is in the round of 32.

Worst call I have ever, EVER seen.

Shame, shame, shame

They got off to a sluggish start and fell behind early in the 1st half. I think they were reading all the press clippings about how UCLA didn't deserve to be there,  and took them for granted.

Not only are WE in the round of 32, but soon to be in the Sweet Sixteen with Iowa State's flameout. If I were you, I'd be worried about Robert Morris, because Duke has a history of flaming worse than Duke graduates like yourself vacationing in SF. If you're lucky to beat RM, SDSU will be your "gotcha" game.

Didn't SMU have 2 good open looks at the end? I'm sorry, you've never seen an open look in playing days due to your glacial court speed.

...to be considered goaltending.  It just has to be on its downward flight and appear to be going to hit any part of the rim so that it has a chance to go in.  The ball certainly was on its way to at least hitting the front of the rim.

You proved that you know as much about basketball as you do about the law.  You should change your handle to "Mendacious Rudolph."

You actually got St Croix and Big Papasan to completely agree on a topic. Kudos. lmao

and more food for thought, if UCLA sucked so badly that they shouldn't even have been in the tourney in the first place, then shame on SMU for letting them stay close enough for one play to decide the game.

No criminal defense attorney worth his weight in salt would cry out guilty with no tangible proof.

Perhaps Mari's mind was on the wrong court when the Alford plea closed the game  or he's still stinging from last years loss to Mercer and searching for this years  scapegoat.

are picking on my great friend Marikod, whose on court skills often brought him notoriety as the 'White Jordan.''    and Big Papa and the Saint, your undeserving BooHooins, living on long past glory, need to pull the horseshoe out of their butts after that BeeEss win-I'd call them ''NIT Worthy'' on a good day-
Marikod, it was a horrendous call, but IMHO the Denkinger call in the World Series was far worse-
Any how, thanks for the write and stirring up the board-Remember they only hate us because we're beautiful    lol         1rob...I still love Christian Laettner.....out   8-)

I wonder just how many white wine spritzers it will take to wash down the taste of those words he needs to eat about UCLA not even deserving to be in the tourney?

I will almost feel sorry for Mari if the Bruins make it further than the Tar Heels this year. The key word of course being "almost" lol

College  Basketball doesn't have an impact on my life until Duke and Notre Dame lose big games , then I'm more Happy, Happy, Happy than my usual Happy self.
On a side note, I wouldn't mind Va. being upset before the final four , those Va. guys are a lot like Duke players and alumni, a little too full of themselves.

The Bruins  stifled  their  naysayers after stomping the Blazers, they certainly showed  they deserved to be in the tournament.

In fact, I’ll buy my Final Four tickets the minute the buzzer sounds and apologize to St. Croix for making fun of his European Carry Bag.

But there is probably a greater chance that St. Croix will finally figure out the location of those “entry points” that have bedeviled him for so long.

The Zags scare me – too much size and too much skilled size. And Sabonis off the bench? His father was the best passing big man I’ve  seen since Bill Walton and the 77 Blazers.

If Duke plays it’s “A” game, Duke will still win but Duke’s losses this year have been mystifying. The Notre Dame loss killed Duke’s momentum. For some reason, Duke can’t figure out how to defend “Bonzie,” who was the difference in both of the Notre Dame losses.

If only Jabari had stayed one more year 1Rob - we would be looking at a historic final with Kentucky. Instead we get more years of Plumlee

let's not get to cocky these are college kids anything can happen.

I am hoping King Jinx Romo is at the Duke game tonight .

I thought tonight was Friday night.
Hopefully Duke players will do like me, wake up dazed and disoriented.
