Use the "Search Messages" button right above this board and put DATY in "search for" box. There's been several threads on this issue recently.

I am new to the hobby and have noticed many people saying that they regularly do daty. I have been under the impression that this is generally risky due to STD's. YES?? NO??
i am always anxious to please but have not done daty for concerns..... i have heard of dental dams but do not know about them.

Well, there are always risks for STD's no matter how careful you are, so worrying about DATY more than other activities is silly to me. I agree that it seems MORE likely than some other things, but I doubt it is substantially riskier than anything else. If you are uncomfortable doing it then just don't do it. It's not a requirement...but it is a lot of fun!
Personally I feel that if you stick with quality providors that care about their health then you should be okay. Most guys around here love to DATY. As long as you understand that the risk is there and are careful, I wouldn't worry too much. If you want real advice, I would ask a local doctor.

Please do a search on the board...this is addressed all the time here and a search on this board for DATY would have provided you REAMS of posts that already cover this.
Don't feel bad, I was shocked when I was introduced to a dental dam about a year ago. If you like licking a piece of saran wrap, go for it, I passed. LOL
