We could probably have a contest to pick the winners of each round.

... any sporting event. Just pick a "game of the week", NBA, NHL, NCAABB, PGA, etc. and pick a few things for us to guess on. Total points, margin of victory, or whatever. Personally I'm hoping to see something revolving around the upcoming Masters.

We basically pick through the bracket.

  Womens world cup is starting in June so I am guessing we will be doing that as well like mens last year

It would be nice to have a contest with some football.  Maybe on a match that would be broadcasted on one of the major channels.  This would be exciting!

Structure the contest like the World Cup last year. In terms of disrupting the flow of the board, it won't be half as bad. Maybe just condense everything to one thread..

If you want weekly, just pick a sport and a day of the week and the scheduled games on that day. Make it straight up, pick winners and leave it at that.

I agree with most other posts so far. Pick an NHL, NBA, or NCAA game of the week. Then maybe an NCAA Conference tournament contest. And March Madness.

ootball is set up for either Monday night or Thursday night isolated wagering. Sure you could ask us to predict scores in a random baseball/basketball or hockey game a week later but it wouldn't have the same cache as the NFL. Those other sports don't carry the same significance on a weekly basis during the regular season. They are playoff driven.  

I think you are left now with "events". The NCAA tournament is obviously an event and would generate a lot of interest here. Same for a major golf tournament (Masters, US Open, etc.). The Kentucky Derby or Indy 500 are events. I suppose once you hit the hockey or NBA post season, you could do something there as well.

Football is the only one that generates enough interest every week (no matter whose playing) for people to take part during the regular season. The other sports do not

but don't exclude the ladies here, or at least tell me if I'm not allowed to be on this here board lol (if this is a guy's only board, then so be it lol)

But, I believe I won a piece of the last bet pretty closely. Some of us chicks are more 'sportsminded' than some of the dudes here...you'd be amazed what more we can do than open our legs.
