It's really easier to just pay for it.

You do earn 15 days per review, and the meter just keeps the tally so at some point, your reviews can keep you alive.  I just checked and my balance isn't quite a year's worth.  That's good, because at some point you'll probably find a lady that you want to see a few times.  I've been mixing new appointments, and repeats.

I can't imagine ever being active here without VIP.  There's too much info available, and the cost is insignificant compared to what it can save you.  If you aren't convinced, consider NY politics.

I am trying to attain the regal status of VIP member the old fashioned way..."he earned it" by getting three reviews posted.  I have 1 so far.... My question is maintaining that loftly status.  From what I have read, for each additional review I submit that is posted I am credited 15 days membership.  So I have to see and successfully post 2 reviews a month, to get the 30 days to stay as a VIP freebie member.  Is that right?  Or is there another threshold I could attain (say 10) and the valued experience I can share with the next generation of newbies is taken into account and I can slow down and be more discerning with my next conquest and maybe move up the value chain of providers. Because if you do the math min 200 a review is 400 a month or 4,800 a year.  What happens if I have an off month and don't hit my 2 review quota, (fishing vacation with the father in law with no provider access) is my membership discontinued?  Do you guys recommend just paying for the membership and avoid the day counting system?  What if you are a paying member and you post two in a month are you credited a free month?  Just want to get the right strategy from the beginning. And to think I used to hate math.  Thanks guys!

You'll save money and stress in the long run.  It's what, a couple hundred a year tops?

Your call, if you can afford to see two new ladies a month I would guess that you can afford the $20 a month for VIP...

If you miss a review and your days run out your VIP lapses but your handle and reviews stay on the board.  You can still participate in discussions but you can not receive PM's or read full reviews.

Thanks to this thread, I went ahead and paid for my VIP status. I'm really here to research the provider end of this hobby. :-) I do massage and enjoy giving pleasure, so I thought it would be neat to do both! (I have, just not very organized about it!)

I'm not as naive as I sound, I promise. :)

who is happy to have made this find!

ask admin to link them to your log-in so the little blue "see my TER reviews" will appear by your name.  That way we guys can find out more about you.

and I don't travel much.  But TER is still a great resouce and community.  I don't buy the VIP, never have.  But as you say, earn it.

I have a few gals I have seen and not reviewed.  I like to keep one or two in reserve.

When my membership days either expire or nearly expire, I post a new review or two.  I have let the clock run out, so to speak, and that is OK.  I still post and when I am ready to research again, I add another review.

So for the times when the local boards are enough for my research, I use them.  When I want more or better searching, I revive my VIP with a new review.

I am sure there are those that post fake reviews but not me.  I have saved so much from this site, and learned so much that I feel the need to give back to the community.

I post regularly (hey I am no BostonGuy but I still owe him a beer!) and try to help others as others have helped me.

Someday I may just break down and buy thr VIP but it has worked well for me this way so far.  I also post problem reports as I see them, not for the 2 days credit (yes you get 2 days membership for filing valid problem reports) but to update info on the ladies and keep it current.

Phone numbers change, email addresses change, they go from agency to indy, they even get older!

But in short, a membership by review can be done; it works for me.

Purchase a quarter of TER VIP.  That is a one time purchase, no recurring billing, and is more economical than monthly billing.

This will put 90 days into your membership bank, which you can always check by clicking the "account manager" link at the top of every TER page, and then clicking "edit my profile" in the left margin.

The 15 days per approved review will be added to your bank automatically.

I'd give you the credit for me, but I did that before I heard you say it.  That's exactly what I did (well, after reviewing and losing VIP a couple times).  I paid the one time, and have never been low on days since.

Assuming that I write a review on the experience that's a few hours from now, I'll be back over a year's worth of days.  The 90-day  purchase was money VERY well spent.

It is easier to pay for VIP status.

I do not review every encounter with TER hence my only 2 reviews.
