Given its population and median income, not much.  Certainly less than Santa Fe.

Just dropping in to say "hello" to my second favorite state! I'm excited to return for a Taos spa day & Sante Fe shopping! Question- Are there winter mountain sports in NM?

The Taos Ski Valley is a world class ski area just NE of Taos and the Santa Fe Ski Basin is almost as good. If you are into cross-country there are many trails near both.

I enjoy cross-country & snowshoeing. Thanks for the info, I'll get to Googling and planning!

Snuggling together while drinking hot chocolate is one of my favorite NM winter mountain sports! ;)

MINE TOO! I often need help keeping my toes warm ;)

lol I am not much of a skier but do love going sledding.Taoes seems like a cool city I am doing some google research on the place/Is there any hobby action in the area?

I believe you will find Taos to be quite unique, not like anywhere else. It has long been a sanctuary for artists and movie people. There could be a some hobby action UTR.

Taos itself is not high enough altitude to support winter snow sports right there. The nearby town of Red River, to the NW, has a ski area. A little further, to the S, is Santa Fe ski area. I am not sure either area has received much snow, yet, this season. I don't know about sled rental.

Welcome, Mona & Lilly, to NM, Land of Enchantment.
