... if Christie were to get elected President.

He would be the President of the United States of America, not the President of the Meadowlands, I don't see this hurting him on the National level. He's already serving his second term as governor. I don't think NY/NJ will hold this against him, unless the people from those states are that petty. Obviously they may disagree with Christie for other reasons, but to decide your vote over which sports team he supports? I give the people of NY/NJ more credit than that.

It's only becoming public now since the Cowboys are in the playoffs and he's sucking up to Jerry Jones.

What pisses NJ Giant fans off was when he showed up at Metlife Stadium a few years ago for the Giants Super Bowl celebration.

I guess he is a typical politician playing both sides of the fence.

Started to post this on the Politics and Religion board, but thought it would be appropriate here as well. What do you folks think of Christie's behavior in the stands at the Dallas-Detroit game? It was kind of sad. He looked like a star-struck, idol worshipping teenager to me. Beneath the dignity of a Governor, who would be president. Letting them send a private jet to take him to the games and paying all of his expenses is another issue all together. BTW, there is a different code of ethics for the governor and other New Jersey state employees who would not be allowed to accept these types of gratuities. He behaved the same way with Bruce
Springsteen --this guy need to grow the fuck up.

Its super dumb politically but it also makes him look like an asshat. He has nothing better to do that go to Dallas every fkin Sunday?

If he and Jerry Jones were naked, Christie would have been butt fucking him at the end of that game.

He has turned into an embarrassment.

For a career politician with eyes on the White House, he seems to have forgotten some very important facts.

First off, jet setting and sitting in the owners box at football games is not the way to endear yourself to the "common man"

Secondly, not everyone loves the Dallas Cowboys. For a New Jersey Governor to be overtly supporting a Texas team is not going to play that well at home. Especially to any Giants fans.

Thirdly, Yes it does make him look like an Asshat, and certainly doesn't make him look "Presidential"

And those fkkers are rough down there and don't forget shit. LOL

Just how stupid is a guy where he would need either NJ or PA in his column in the general?

Yes there are other electoral options for him to get to 270 but why piss off your HOME state and the electoral rich neighboring state in PA?

Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.

and that is their hatred of the Dallas Cowboys,

as you said, Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.

Forget about the generals, first he has to win the primaries, and this just proves that he is too dumb for prime time.

If he even gets as far as becoming the Republican nominee (he won't) there is almost zero chance he would carry Pennsylvania or New Jersey in a general election. On the other hand, he probably needs delegate rich Texas to win the Republican nomination and a payback for his Cowboys' support is what he might be counting on but that is two years away and I don't see the Cowboys winning a Super Bowl  between now and then.

I don't know about NJ taxes but I pretty sure Christie would have to declare the full value of all those private jet rides, meals and lime rides as gifts on his federal taxes and pay taxes on them

portray himself as the common man? Presidents fly around in jets all the time, I disagree this makes Christie look very Presidential.
