I thought the QB's job was to throw the ball. (eom)

END OF MESSAGE

After countless hours using google researching first down stats , attempting  to increase my odds to win 1, 10 or 11  VIP days in next Thursday's  first down challenge, I came across an interesting individual first down chart.
I know he's quick on his feet while both him and his team are  underrated by many, I didn't know my favorite quarterback has the Number 1  Rushing First Down Percentage: 2014 NFL Season.

The way  Seahawks are playing now, I suspect they will gain more respect, if not the opposing team will likely suffer with more interceptions.

The scoreboard doesn't care if it's on the ground or through the air.

Of course most NFL QB's figure out that running "too much" will lead to a rather short career, and health problems at the ripe old age of 30. lol

I know, and you are right on both accounts.

Both have an R as the first letter of their name .

Wilson is infinitely wiser than Griffin
     And tougher beyond measure
He won't  put himself on a pedestal when he wins
Or blame his team when they lose.
Wilson will slide like a baseball star *, instead of accepting  a hard hit.

When the current elite QBs such as Brady, P. Manning, Brees retire he would be next great QB that people talk about for next decade or two..

My best guess is to send him to Jacksonville.

Not only is he brittle, but he is a cancer in the locker room. I think you guys need to dump him at any cost and just write off the loss. He is probably the quarterback that most teams would LEAST want to have on their roster.

Who the heck is not giving the Seahawks respect? They are defending Super Bowl champions.

Any football fan would know that there are a myriad of reasons why Seattle is "only" (I wish my team had that record) 8-4. Number one, there is truth to the Super Bowl hangover. Teams are never the same after winning it all. Some players leave for bigger free agent contracts. Other guys cash in on endorsement deals and are pulled in many non football related directions. Other guys are just simply less motivated once they reach the pinnacle. It happens to every team. The good teams, like Seattle, rise above it.  Secondly, as champions the Seattle gets every opponent's "A game". They all want to knock off the champs and it makes for intense battles every week. Third, Seattle had a lot of injuries on defense. (Never an excuse, but a reason). They are getting players back healthy and you saw the difference in beating Arizona and SF handily. Lastly, Seattle suffered through a lot of locker room distractions: The Percy Harvin fiasco (finally shipped him out to the Jets), the jealousy of other players against Russell Wilson (I guess he doesn't act "black enough" whatever the heck that means), and Marshawn Lynch's personal agenda and anti media stance which has angered more than a few players on the team. A weaker team may have crumbled, but Seattle has fought through this adversity.

At the end of the day, they are 8-4 and everyone knows or should know that Seahawks will be a tough out in the post season. If they win the division, which I think they will, they will have one and potentially 2 post season games in Seattle. It will be that much harder to dethrone the champs.

Than if Green Bay faces the Seahawks in the post season, which is a very likely matchup. Green Bay is virtually unbeatable at home, but quite mortal on the road, and the very same can be said about Seattle who's only home loss can be chalked up as an anomaly against the Cowgirls.

Yes, home field advantage should be huge, but I think all roads to the NFC title go through Green Bay this year. They look like they are the most likely to run the table and win out the rest of the year with only two games against teams with a winning record, and only one of those on the road at Buffalo. Every other team has a much tougher schedule to close out the season and having to beat GB in December in Lambeau will be quite the feat.

Kind of a cool dynamic too in that game.

Both teams will come off 10 days rest and both will be playing each other in a "sandwich" game between their two bitter rivals. (Seattle played SF before and just after Philly, and Philly played the Cowboys just before and immed. after the Hawks.)

Looking forward to how that Seattle D holds up against Chip Kelly's amazing offense. I give a slight nod to Philly because of home game, long travel for Seattle and the Hawks having never seen this offense before.

Great game/matchup.

es, if the Eagles defeat Seattle to go to 10-3 (dropping Seattle to 8-5), then the Birds (of the Pacific Northwest)  have virtually no shot at claiming the # 1 or # 2 seed. Heck, at 8-5, Seattle would also struggle to win its division and be left to battle for the wild card....Of note, Dallas owns a tiebreaker over them so that's a concern.

But on the flip side, a  Seattle win gets them to 9-4 and drops the Eagles to the same record. Then its a race to the finish.

I think this is a much bigger game for Seattle, so with that said:  Seattle 27 Eagles 23
