The answer by AnonyWishes is mistaken in several respects.  First of all, pimping and pandering is a state law offense, not federal.  The Feds could conceivably try to involve themselves because of the use of telephones, but presumably most of your calls are in-state and the Feds are very unlikely to trouble themselves over this.

More importantly, though, your actions probably do amount to pimping and/or pandering.

Does anybody know what the general pimping and pandering laws are

Am I potentially guilty of pimping and/or pandering for answering the phones and setting up appointments for an escort agency ?

It's best you seek council with an attorney in your state.

Most of what you're talking about would be federal.

An agency was arrested in my state awhile back.  They went to the agency and confiscated their computers and records, then harrassed the ladies that worked for the agency.  Computers were confiscated at each home.  Nothing came of it, but it cost the agency and each lady involved quite a bit.

Hope you're making allot of money and/or have at least 3,000 set aside in case LE wants to go after your agency friends.

This conduct is not likely to be deemed federal unless it's a federal investigation from the start which is rare in these crimes.

It is necessary to read your particular state's law as states vary as to the incedents of the crimes of pimping or pandering.

Go on line and look at the statutes in your state; read them.  Then decide.

I was making the assumption the girls were traveling state lines.

They don't prosecute Mann Act conduct anymore unless it's a minor.

in California, pimping is a felony and 5 years imprison for the first time...

I'm not sure tho

Seems like a slam dunk conspiracy charge to me. All that need to be proven is that you had knowledge of the prostitution. Court would have you rat on your boss to get off.

i have a question, since ESCORTING in the traditional term is legal, just escorting someone to a function or whatever, wouldn't they have to PROVE that she knew the guy was getting more than a date to the movies for instance.
You can set up dates right?
just not sex for money dates and if the agency says  specifically that what the girl does during that time is noone of their business
how can she get charged for taking date orders?
