t we all know that the NFL is a total week to week crapshoot. It is virtually impossible to consistently pick games. The moniker of "Any given Sunday" exists for a reason.
Winning road divisional games are probably the hardest game for any team (even the really good ones) to win. Throw in the disadvantage of playing on the road in a short week, and the Raiders had a decent chance to pull the upset. But I wouldn't have bet the proverbial mortgage on it, though!
The final 5 weeks of the season are going to be fascinating.
In the NFC, there are only 5 spots (someone has to win the dreaded NFC South) available so two of these teams are NOT making the playoffs: Dallas, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Detroit, Arizona, Seattle, SF... They are all at 7-4 or better
In the AFC, if you give the Patriots the East and the Colts the South, that leaves 4 spots for the following teams: Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Baltimore, Denver, KC, San Diego.... All teams (if the Ravens win tonight), are 7-4 or better.
