I don't know if it is an indictment of our public school system or simply the dumbing down of the jaded, video cassette, microwave hot pocket eating generation; but the repetitive questions asked that were already answered ONE thread prior on the Newbie board could test the patience of the Pope himself.
Some sort of PERMANENT, introductory header (possibly with flashing lights & bouncing tits to garner attention) along with link(s) to previous posts/threads answering the most basic of questions should be atop the Newbie board.
We ALL were Newbies once; but the current generation seems more predisposed to blurting out inane, redundant questions than doing the most cursory of research of the existing threads on even the first page.

BTW sgandolfs, I don't know who you think you have responded to, but the author of this thread joined TER, and first posted on the Newbie Board a few months before you. And No!!! It wasn't me, I pre-date the both of you.

and yeah, me thinks that if you are going to participate on the newbie board, you should have skin made of steel - it does get testy and frustrating - but I look at it like trying to teach someone how to swim.... all of 'em are gonna have similar insecurities etc.... patience is key.
