END OF MESSAGE

Just kidding!  lol   I couldn't resist.

Just wanted to point out that every day there are individuals who jump on this board, for the first time, and ask the same old questions without putting any effort into finding the information for themselves.  This board is made up of hobbiests, providers and our moderator who answer posts to assist others on a volunteer basis.  But, it is always appreciated when someone first helps themselves:

1.  Tipping?  Do I have to tip?  How much is customary?  Do ladies prefer tips or gifts?

Tipping is not required, but always appreciated.  After all, wouldn't you appreciate something extra if it were given to you on your paycheck?  Its just a way of saying that you enjoyed the time with the lady.  Some gents prefer to bring gifts, in lieu of tips.

However, tips are not expected.  The best tip a lady can get is repeat business from the same client.

2.  Prescreening?  I have no references as I am new.  What can I do?

Some ladies will prescreen you without references.  Others may require you to join a prescreening organization such as Datecheck, Preferred 411 or Room Service 2000.

After you have met with a provider, ask her if you can use her as a reference?

3.  I don't feel comfortable giving out my real information to a provider, what should I do?

Take matters firmly in hand... (oops, shouldn't say that).  But seriously, providers prescreen clients for their safety and ease of mind.  If you are uncomfortable with prescreening, you can take your chances finding a provider who doesn't prescreen or visit one of the legal brothels in Nevada.  Keep in mind, however, that if a provider doesn't screen, you should be doubly concerned as she is either new, careless or wears a blue uniform when not working vice.

If you find a well-reviewed provider you wish to see, she will be discreet in her prescreening process, as she does not want to do anything that would put you in an awkward position, but still needs to feel safe.

4.  How much should I pay for a provider visit?

Well, how much should you pay for your car?  Your house?  Your clothing?  No one can tell you the answer to your question.  Only you can determine what you can feasibly afford and, with a little research, you can determine what the prevailing donations are in your area.

5.  Is the provider real?  What can I expect from a particular provider?  How do I know its not a setup?

Buy a VIP membership.  This is your best resource.  It allows you to read the entire content of the reviews and will give you an idea of what to expect.  If the provider is well reviewed, meaning by gents who have multiple reviews and not only by gents with a solo review, you can anticipate that this provider is legit.

6.  Why do I need a hobby e-mail?  Why shouldn't I e-mail from work?

Well, caution is the key here.  If you share a computer at home, someone else in your household may have your password.  I don't think it would go over well if the Mrs. found an e-mail to a provider in your sent file?

Big Brother is watching you!  Most companies monitor internet usage (even from personal accounts) at work.  According to CNN, 74% of HR personnel indicate that their companies strictly monitor the sites their employees visit, e-mails that are sent (including from personal accounts), etc.

7.  I can find less expensive providers on CL, or other boards who have no reviews.  Why should I go with a reviewed provider?

Its simple, ethics.  Do you want to see an ethical provider.  Someone who will not use your personal information for other purposes.  Someone who will not upsell you at the time of the appointment.  Someone who will not take the donation and run.  Someone who is not represented by a guy named "Rufus" who is in the next room and possibly waiting to rob you.

8.  I want to be the first appointment the provider sees, but I am not available till 4:00 p.m.  What should I do?

Well, unless you see a provider who only works part-time and only sees 1 client per day, you need to get real in your expectations.  Either set an appointment first thing in the morning, or take your chances.

9.  Why is the provider's face covered on her website?  Will she send me photos of her before the appointment showing her face?  Can I bring a camera to the appointment?

Generally, providers who choose to not show their faces do so for a reason.  Confidentiality and discretion.  You cannot reasonably expect to receive photos of her face or to bring a camera to the appointment unless her website specifically indicates that this is available.

10.  I want the ultimate GFE (which is apparently a new code word for BBFS).

Well, I am sure it is offered somewhere.. but "What are you thinking?"  If you honestly believe that this is safe, think again.  She may tell you that you are a "special client," but consider that she may say that to everyone.  So, basically you are sleeping with everyone she does.  Now do you feel safe?

11.  Is hobbying safe?  Can I get an STD?

Well, you need to decide what you feel comfortable with.  Nothing is 100% safe.  Even condoms can break.  If you are concerned about BBBJ, then ask for a condom.  If you are concerned about other activities, then perhaps hobbying is not for you.  (BTW double bagging is more unsafe than a single condom in the event you were thinking its safer.)

If you are that concerned, even after reading this and other posts on this board, perhaps this form of hobbying is not for you.  Have you considered "fly fishing," "basket weaving," or "paint by numbers?"

12.  I'm looking for a provider in XXXX.  Or, I'm a new provider and am available to see client (see my website).

You'll probably find a note next to your post from our moderator indicating that this is not the place to advertise or search for a particular provider.  This is done on the appropriate regional board.

13.  Are the reviews real?  Is this board real?

This was the best question posted ever.  The answer is:

A) no, you are having an acid flashback from your wild days in the 60s.

B) this is an amateur fiction writers club and the subject of the year is "erotica"

C) didn't you read the disclaimer on the first page of TER when you signed in?

14.  I'm coming from work and don't have to time to take a shower?  The provider wouldn't kiss me and it says she is GFE?

Well, let the provider know that you will be coming from work and wish to take a shower at her place.  If you want an enjoyable encounter, you should be clean and fresh.  We all sweat and if you want the provider to pay any attention to your lower region, you should make sure you are clean and odor free.

If the provider does not wish to kiss you, perhaps its because you have not brushed your teeth and your breath still smells like the onions on the burger you ahd for lunch?  Or you just finished smoking a cigarette?  As for the mouthwash, or better yet, if you can.. brush before arriving.  No one wants to kiss an onion or an ashtray.

15.  What does BBJ mean?  What does DATY mean?

Have you heard the saying "If it were a snake, it would have bit me."  Well, the answer is at the top of every page of this forum.

If you look at the graphic attached to this post, you'll find the place where you can find the answers.  However, the new TER Instruction Manual Book on Tape has not been published yet, so that means you'll have to read it yourself.  lol

This manual also contains other information, from both the hobbiest and provider perspectives, on the "Dos" and "Don'ts" of hobbying.

Not to mention a stunningly beautiful woman.

This is one of the best posts I've read, on or off this site, and a link to it should be included in the Newbie FAQ page.

You're wonderful.

Newbies, you must read this.  Vets, you could benefit from it too.

Good luck

It sounds like many newbies ask questions that are already answered in the newby manual.  Recently, I was one of them.  If the newbie manual (and not the newbie discussion board) came up when the Newbie FAQ Board is selected, I think this would eliminate most of the repetitious questions.  When I initially clicked the Newbie FAQ, I didn't read the "fine print" at the top of the page.  I started scanning the discussions, looking for the info I wanted.  Not finding it, I posted my question.  I imagine this pattern will continue until there is some reorganization.  Just a suggestion.
Ps, Thanks to all who provide helpful info to me and other newbies.
pps, I don't care if this gets posted, perhaps just forward it to the right people in charge, and sorry if it is a repeat suggestion.

you post the schedule of cities on this tour?  GREAT post!
