to meet this one provider for three weeks now. We exchanged emails. Completed the appt request form via her website. Had a date set. Provider cancels the day before due to illness. Exchanged a few more emails. Still no rendez-vous.

From a provider's perspective, would my persistancy become so annoying that she doesnt want to meet?

If she was sick then she is probably backed uo with email requests and rescheduling other missed appointments. You need to expect that she will devote most of her time and energy to her regulars first.
Give it some time, send her another email telling her you hope she is feeling better and that you understand her cancellation. Tell her you will contact her again soon after she has had a chance for things to get back to normal.
In the mean time if she could drop you a quick note of when she expecys to have time for you again would be appreciated.

Things do happen like getting sick. I would much rather have the lady cancel on me than give me her illness.
Give her a few days and send her an e-mail requesting to re-schedule. If you don't hear back in a few days, it might be time to move on.
I understand you...I'm in the same situation. She must be busy though. Give it some time.
