The Nats organization is a bunch of pussies.

From their front office to Strasburg. In all my years following sports I have NEVER heard of a team sitting a healthy, star player for the play-offs due to the fact he MIGHT get hurt.

And ANY REAL player would have told the organization to go fk themselves with that nonsense and told them "Give me the damn ball!". Those kind of chances only happen a few times in a career, and never for some, and when you do get them, you go for all the marbles.

But no worries as the Nats are VERY happy how things turned out. Strasburg will now be fully rested for his next start...in spring training.

Sheez...

pass me a couple..

Lets do this again next year. You guys can fall below 500. We will make it to playoffs. You can get all bitter and pissy like a 14 yr old girl who just got dumped by her BF, and you can pick on me all October along.. I loved it.. We must have really hit the nerve by making it to the playoffs that you stayed up till 12:30 just to make the post.

Yes I did stay up for this and post cant help that San Fran and St.Louis advance the 2 that I picked and made good money on.Both of those teams know how to win and get it done when it counts.

om top to bottom Washington has the superior roster. A more consistent, proven everyday line-up, a dominant starting rotation, an all-star set-up man in Clippard, and overall solid relief pitching. It's why they ran away with the division. Talent rises to the top over the course of a 162 game season.

But what the Giants have can't be discounted. And that is championship pedigree.  They have players on their roster who have won multiple world series titles as well as a manager with multiple world series titles. They have an uncanny ability to not be overwhelmed in the playoffs. Whether they are up in a series or down, they remain focused and consistent.

The Giants will be a tough out the rest of the way.
