Mighty UCLA uses coin toss to beat rebuilding Texas 20-17

Incredibly, the game turned on the coin toss- Texas some how bungled it and allowed UCLA to receive in both halves.  That turned out to be the difference as UCLA marched down the field for an opening second half touchdown to tie the game.

But a lot of observers came away thinking Texas was the better team. What really happened here? TMZ is reporting that a prominent UCLA booster held a wine tasting for the Bruins prior to the game. Serving Brie and chardonnay to the offensive line, he tried to convince them that California chardonnay is as good as true burgundy.  The team showed up for the game feeling, shall we say, a bit mellow. So no surprise that Texas dominated the first half.

In Texas, where the best looking sports board posters live, football is serious business.  Take away that free possession that UCLA got and the score is Texas 17 UCLA 13

But by all account if Payton doesn't fumble at the Texas 30, (I think) then we get that score...
But it don't matter, the Bruins offensive line took charge in the second half despite wine or no. And when is Texas in a rebuilding year, they should be on reload, not rebuilding. The sad state of Texas. Now they have Bayor and Oklahoma coming next, it's going to get ugly.
