You didn't specify, but I assume that $$ was in fact exchanged..?? If yes, then yes you were most certainly ripped off.

It will be an exercise in futility to write a rip off review on her since all you have is an ad on CL as opposed to a website of her own, but write the review anyways. It will give you some practice, and might actually warn at least one other poor guy out there who might otherwise throw good money after bad.

Sorry for your rotten experience, but hopefully you will learn from it and move on!

I phoned an outcall from CL this evening, she represented herself as an escort.  When she arrived she kept asking me "what I wanted", "had I been with an escort before".  She asked me what I wanted again again and I said let's get comfortable, she then told me that nothing sexual was going to happen and furthermore in DC escorts don't do that.  I was actually in VA.  Is this normal or was I ripped off?  She went off down the hotel corridor speaking into a cell phone loudly "he wanted illegal things".  This was a bad experience.

If you found it after the experiance you had, I have sympathy for you. Unforchantly you will see that you are not alone, reading rip off reviews will show you that that is a common ploy that ripoffs and misrepresentation providers use.

If you knew about this site then you should know that if a provider doesn't have positive reviews, and I assume she didn't/doesn't, then you shouldn't see her, or if you do you shouldn't be surprised when it goes haywire. I have little sympathy if you didn't check reviews first.

But you could do us all a service and write a review of the experiance. But as I said I have read many rip off and low reviews that use that scam, it is very common, perhaps the most common.

I live in Toronto and there is a review board there. Hobbyists use it to give information about SPs but I cannot remember a rip-off situation.  I guess that I wasn't aware how common this scam was.  I will know better next time.  I have seen many escorts but this has never happened before to me.

I forgot to mention that. Yes craigs list is a notorious hotbed for ripoffs.

I would definatly urge you to WRITE A REVIEW.

Even if her craigs list add goes the way of the dodo, a phone number, email address,anything you can provide about her, will match up if a person enters that same phone number, email address, into the search engine for reviews on here.

Maybe there is something about DC.

There was no CL then, I had called a Yellow Pages ad, but now that there is TER, there's no reason that this should ever happen.

Yeah honey, you were ripped off.

I think the world would be better without CL.

Meanwhile, there ARE good girls who advertise there - BUT they will (usually) also have a paid AD on Eros AND they will have a review HISTORY here on TER.  And they will (usually) have their own dot com web domain.

Those are the signs of a professional.  Yes you will usually pay more, but you will usually get your money's worth instead of wasting it.

So pick your girl, come here to TER - get a VIP membership so you can read something about the other gents dates besides the decor of her apartment, then READ the reviews, then call her and see what her phone demeanor is.  Make sure you are both on the same page, and go have a good time!

And if you get bored, there's always my side of the street...

I have had similar experiences....but not too much lately since I have wised up a bit and joined TER.  CL is hit or miss.  That bit about talking on the cell phone loudly is a cheap move that the rip offs do.  It is either meant to humiliate you....or.....to get you to give her money to shut her down.
