I've been in a bit of a rut recently.  I only hobby once or twice a month, and decided to make this month something special.  I've never had a true PSE visit, but I've seen a gal in London who could provide such.  So Friday evening I call her to set up an appointment for 11 am Saturday.  Immediately after hanging up, I had a feeling things wouldn't go well!  This gal has no showed on me before, and has a reputation for partying on the weekends.

Sure enough, after paying about $40 for a round trip train ticket to London and a day ticket for the underground, I arrived at the point for the 2nd call, and my call wasn't answered!!!  She now claims that she sent me a text stating she had to push back the appointment by an hour.  I never received it!

Having the feeling that things could go wrong, I made sure that I had a couple of other numbers to call, "just in case".

Plan B was a pair of tantric goddesses.  I'm not sure if I believe in what they are selling, but if they can help me control my hair-trigger cock I wouldn't complain.  Unfortunately, when I called, there was a client at the door.  Appointments were available later in the day, but please call back in an hour.

Plan C was an agency I had used successfully used in the past.  Being offline, all I could do was ask who might be available.  I was given a couple of recommendations, and had a fantastic time!  It wasn't the PSE I was hoping for when I left home, but it was a mighty fine GFE.

Prepare for the unexpected, and be flexible in your expectations.

Getting cancelled on seriously sucks. I am sure the agencies and independents get cancelled on too, but I have never been one to do this, I always make 100% sure I am clear as far as the scheduled meeting.

Sometimes I wonder exactly what happens when appointments are cancelled by agencies. I think I remember reading once that some of the touring agencies will cancel a girl's trip if they dont have enough clients lined up before the trip. I can understand this logic but in my book this does not excuse them flaking out on clients who do have a time set up. Personally I would not deal with a company that wouldn't at least offer a discount on the next appointment, if they cancelled on me. Maybe thats harsh but thats just how I feel.

I also wonder if some delays might be caused by clients unexpectedly getting an additional hour. I am someone that just wants to be told the truth about what's going on. If I feel I am being lied to then that's probably a company I would stay away from. On the other hand if they seem sincere and truthful, I might even decline a discount if offered one. I think I speak for many hobbyists when I say that we only wanted to be treated with respect and not just another "john" that will take what ever they dish out. Some of us won't and we will just go home.

I list out all the possible ones before i visit a city and start calling when i reach there to see who is available but this time im out of luck.

I have been calling 6 providers for the last few ours and none answer the fone. How many more back-ups do i need to have????

IMHO, you will always be better off knowing and researching a good agency before the trip so that you have that final fall back. (a lot of times, the agency becomes my plan A after the research.) You should at least call before you visit the city if you want to book with an independent.

We've all had nights when it just didn't work out.  In those situations, there's nothing else to do, but to set aside the money for the next time.  The real trick is not to chase the bad hand and do something stupid like calling un-reviewed providers from CL or somewhere else.

Good luck.

They delayed you coming.  :o)

(Yes, I know, that was bad.)

Just curious - does anyone get the cultural reference?

My plan B and C fell through as they might from time to time, soooo,

I posted a "Sad Sack" story on my home TER board. Within minutes, a regular from back home, PM'ed me with a suggestion of one of his personal favorites.

I called her and within a couple of hours I was back in the saddle, so to speak.

As they say at American Express, membership (TER VIP that is) has its advantages.
