Guys can take up to 3 months to post a review. Some guys will wait until their VIP status is running out then post a review of a girl they had seen a couple months ago.

Some guys will write and post one within a few days and some will wait a month or two.

I am a new provider.  I have placed an ad and got a response, yet he  wanted to see my reviews before seeing me.  Seeing that I have never done this before, I do not have any reviews.  Do you think this is going to hinder my success as a provider?

Hi Vanessa,

Yes, in the short term, that can hinder your success.  It works both ways, as many providers require one or two references, making things difficult for new hobbyists.

Don't fret.  There are certainly guys out there who do not use review sites like TER, though that means they also do not write reviews.  Now that you are here, reach out to experienced providers in your area.  They can give you advice to help you learn the ropes and can recommend you to guys who will then write reviews for you.

Welcome to TER. Will being new hinder your success? No, all providers were new once and many have great success now. It is just a matter of some of the guys who like to TOFTT to see your ad and want to pull the trigger. Once you start getting a few reviews then more guys will notice you.

The ad you placed, was it on the local regional board here on TER, or someplace else? You could just respond back to the gentleman that he could be your very first review.

Maybe you want to post a one week long special "newbie" price to entice a few people to come see you and get your reviews jump started?

Hang in there, immediate succes just doesn't happen in a business that is this personal, it will take some time.

Vanessa, where are you located?  Which regional board did you post your ad?  I might be willing to TOFTT.

and then be aggressive about asking him to post a review.

Many gals do this and I don't mind a bit.

We hobbyists understand that you need reviews to stay in business and we want you to do well and stay in business so that we can continue to see you.

Spend some time posting on your local board.  Before long, some of the locals will get to know you and will take the chance on seeing you.

Hi! I too am new and it seems that getting reviews is difficult. I have been told 4 times they would write one, but either haven't or it hasn't been posted. Just hang in there ;)

Waiting out that first review can be rough!

Remember, if you want to post a link to your site on one of TER's boards, your site has to display a TER badge or banner on one of its first 2 pages, in the case of your sight, either the welcome, or about me page.

Are you sure you haven't been reviewed?  I'll email you what I think I have found.

Provider to know their TER handle, so they will write their review well after the session.  The reason for this is that sometimes, when you are active on a board, it becomes uncomfortable when the providers that you see know your handle, particularly if you have rather strong opinions.  Most don't care, but it could be one more explanation for the delays in addition to balathazar's great suggestions.

You and Vanessa could very well benefit from active participation on your regional boards.  I would suggest though, that you lurk for awhile so that you get a feel for the board politics.  Since this is a form of grass roots marketing for you, you should make sure that you do not antagonize the general population of the board.  Also, and maybe more importantly, you may be able to identify some local providers that you can make connections with for support and information.

Good luck.
