Even though I'm not into soccer that much, they're some that are, some feel the same way my love for golf so I guess let the soccer fans have their fun and hopefully the World Cup doesn't last long lol.
It seems to have stifled all other conversation on this board. There has not be a single new thread started on this board in a week now.
I don't know if the solution is to perhaps give the daily contests their own board so they don't squeeze out all the other conversations, or what a better solution would be, but there are other things going on in the sports world, it just seems like there is no room to discuss them on a board that is now completely dominated by the World Cup contest.
Anyone have any ideas or thoughts on the subject?

and while the World Cup is by far the most important sporting event right now, aside from the daily contests there is almost no dialogue on this board right now. It's kind of like how the regional boards at one time got drowned out by all the ad posts, it seems like any conversation here is being squeezed out by the daily contests.
BTW I have money on both matches being played right now, and I am switching my tv back and forth between them. So this is hardly a slam on the World Cup or futbol in general, just a hope that we can revive some actual conversation here.
Well, Michelle Wie won the Ladies U.S. Open yesterday, and was looking pretty good doing it.
I was in a bar only casually glancing at the TV with the sound off. I looked up and saw her from the rear without knowing who she was, but knowing it was a men's tournament, and saying out loud that "I don't have a gay bone in my body, but whoever that guy is, he sure has a cute ass" I was so relieved to find out that "he" was a she, and that it was actually Michelle Wie. lol
She looked exceptionally good!!! She has grown up to be an extremely beautiful woman.
But I watched the full last rd of the woman's open, it was nice to see her win her 1st major, I also enjoyed the wet tshirt contest she gave us afterwards.
morning and afternoon, and my Major League Baseball Extra Innings package in the evening before I go to work. This tournament is definitely cutting into my sleep time, but it sure is great entertainment.
While I do love the competition and the World Cup, I wish people would actually discuss the games as well... Sometimes I comment something and hear the crickets lo
