There are several verification services that you can use in lieu of a reference. Depending on your location (I've not been to "other"), Preferred411, Date Check, RoomService2000, etc.
I am still fairly new to the hobby and thus far have stuck with a good reliable agency. I was looking to test the waters with a couple of independent providers in my area. The problem is I have no references from independent providers. Frankly there are very few independents in my area that are in anyway attractive to me and I refuse to see a girl I am not attracted to just to get a reference.
I understand the need for safety and threat of LE but is there any hope of seeing an independent girl without references? A few I have contacted don't even do you the courtesy of returning your query with a response. I am also not really interested in paying for that room service thing. Isn't providing a girl with your emplyment information, other personal information, enough??

Yeah I had one girl suggest those. What do they do though to really assure anything?? Do they just call your place of work, just like an agency?? I live in a tri state area (KY,OH,IN) would a girl be more apt to see you and trust your not LE with an out of state ID?? I guess I am just not that eager to go an extra mile to see an independent girl when things are so much easier with an agency.

Both. The ladies deserve to be safe from the fruitcakes that are out there. They also do not need an intro to local LE.
If you don't want to abide by a lady's screening procedure, move on to another lady. Gentleman hobbyists don't negotiate $ or screening procedures.
We all got started somehow, so there is hope for you. Some providers will screen through employment while others only accept recent references from other local independent providers.
But I can understand the problem that the providers you most want to see won't do employment verification. Hang in there. Maybe one of the agency girls will go indy.
As far as what is enough ... that's their call. If it is too much or information you can't supply, time to move on.
BTW, some agencies will provide references and some independents accept references from agencies. You should check with the agencies you use.
got one once. Also, a lot of independents started with a local agency. See if any of the ladies you saw at the agency have gone independent. If you find one, contact her and try to remind her of something unique about your session that would clue her into the fact that you are who you say you are.
Ultimately, if nothing else works, try to get known on the regional board, and at the same time, write more than the four reviews in a year that you've written. You may be able start something through a PM with an independent that posts a lot.
