Hi
If you see American clients in the UK then ask them to post reviews on TER if they are members here. You'll have much more success if people in the US can actually see reviews.
Get the TER badge on the front page of your website asap so you can post links to it in your messages/ad here.

See where it says REGIONAL BOARDS in the left margin of this window? Click the drop-down list, and you will find the New York board, where you will want to announce your visit.
Here is how ads on TER work - You can post one ad (something like, Hi guys, my schedule this week is ..., contact me at ...) every 7 days on boards where you are working.
Additionally, you can announce your visit on the board twice in the 2 weeks prior to visit, just be sure to include the dates of your visit in the subject line of your pre-visit messages. Also, feel free to post one of your pictures, they will help attract attention.
As Carrie said, you will want to add a link to TER to the opening page of your site! Until you get this sorted out, please only post your email address!!!
