Looks like one of the key issues was that they were not making social security payments for the women, under the excuse that they were independent contractors. They also mention this to customers to make them feel comfortable the women are not their against their wish, and to explain why each negotiates her own price and services.

It makes me wonder if all the other clubs using the 'independent contractor' argument  (pretty much all of them)  will get shut down as well.
The same model is used in pretty much all clubs, but there are a few things in which Artemis was a bit strict:

Girls had to sleep in the club
Girls were not allowed to exchange contact details with clients
Girls were not allowed to meet with clients outside the club
Girls had to work at least 4 days continuously
Girls could be the morning shift or the evening shift, but then had to stay till a fixed time

The last two are fairly common, but the first three are a bit stricter than most places. They also were very upfront with the prices, even mentioning them on the website.

For what it's worth, arguing the girls are actually "employees" is a far bigger stretch, then the "independent contractor" angle. They come and go as they please and change clubs all the time (to see if business is better).

It looks like Artemis was raided by police for tax fraud and human trafficking.

I would have been happier if the raid had been because of the pervasive cigarette smoke and the equally pervasive, really bad, loud music playing the last time I visited.

Unfortunately...

Visited there last week. Lineup OK, but too much bullshit. Also, E80 entry and E60 basic session fee (which I strongly recommend you negotiated every menu item before going to the Zimmer). Not recommended.

I agree.  Artemis is overpriced by FKK standards.  Girls are super sharky.  Weird sense of desperation among the girls.  And yet, still overpriced.   Strange.  Also, the Cig smoke was quite potent.  They had a smoke free bar downstairs, but NONE of the girls are there.   Mongers traveling to DE have more choices in the NRW.
