Your biting Ants

Colorado, what's up with the biting ants here? It was so funny tho, I was hiking in the mountains last week, and had to pee. When I squatted down tho, I guess I accidentally peed on a little anthill. I got bit then by ants! Any tips to not get bit out here? Spiders never bother me and I like them anyway. But the ants are getting me now even when I sit in the grass.  

Love this state so much! I love that I can be out in nature everyday. Men & are nice, it's a beautiful state, good healthy food to eat, gorgeous skies... But the biting ants are my only complaint
