OK I'm new to this and am abit concerned. While my two experiences so far hobbying have been great fun. I'm concerned about STD's. I don't plan on hobbying all that much (once twice a month max and always covered) but was wondering what the rate of STD's in the provider community is, and what the stats on contracting something if safer sex is alway practiced.
Any old timer hobbiest that can give advice to a newbie?

You need to research and make your own decision. The links in the Newbies manual at top of this forum provide STD info links, and the one thing Craigs List is good for is the SF Clinic link on their site.
Nothing is risk free but abstinance. Most hobbyists however are comfortable with the risks of covered penetration, uncovered BBBJ, and uncovered DATY. There are some providers and hobbyists that prefer all covered, which obviously is all the safer.
