Because in the memoris and bios of all these madams, Baby Doll, Madam Alex, the madam always has the girl report back what happened, down to dick size, particular habits, etc.... and some agencies that were busted had all that info on file.... Not saying that all do, but certainly there's been doucmented cases where girls do communicate that kind of info amongst each other...who knows what's talked about in the Provideres Only board.
I'm pretty new to the hobby. I'm wondering whether one can use agencies as references. I notice that some independents specifically request independent provider references. Any advice would be appreciated.

as you state, some indies only want references from another indy. Others will accept agencies. But I even had one agency not accept reference from a different agency because there was some bad blood between them. So it all depends.
Are the agencies pretty willing to supply the reference or does that vary too?
The two Boston area agencies that I use have always been very willing to give me a great reference. I have to say however that the agency climate in Boston is a very good one. That is not the case everywhere. Just as with an indie provider it is always best to ask the agency if it is OK before giving them as a reference.
I never had much luck getting agencies to provide me with references which is why I no longer accept them. BUT, if you had an agency contact ME (instead of the other way around) to give you a reference, I would be happy to accept it, even though that's not my normal modus operandi. If you're willing to try that, suggest it to the provider you'd like to see.

SO here is the question. I see frequently the statement that says a provider "Does not save or record information" 'bout a client. If they don't save it how are they going to provide references?
Do you have to be memorable enough for the provider to remember?
Seems a dichotomy... i don't save the info but need a reference.

If you are a good and regular customer a provider will remember you as long as it hasn't been an exceedingly long time since your last visit with her. Same goes for an agency. More than likely they have a list of "Do not see" guys and, as long as you are not on that list you will get a good reference.
It's important to remember that the lady looking for the reference just wants to know if you were on time, clean, respectful of both her and her time and that the envelope was right. She isn't looking for your eye color, height & weight or what kind of car you drive....though some do ask about penis size...and not for the reason you might think...
yes you have to be memorable.
if you think you'll be using her for references, think of a way to uniquely identify yourself so that when she hears it, she'll remember.

or do cartwheels when she answers the door and then just refer to yourself as the guy that does cartwheels.
or just be "the guy who left on-time"
I've used it and gotten a good reference... the girl usually will brief the booker on what you were like....so they know all about you. If you were really nice, then I'm sure the girl will say something and it will stick out in the booker's mind. Doesn't hurt to not have a common name.
We talk about what you were like? For the most part, in my experience, we really don't. We just want to make sure you're safe. And clean. Don't be the guy who has really bad breath or otherwise smells really bad! But the not having a common name is funny- and true. "John in City X" isn't too helpful
