You need to back off of craig's list and do some research on ter first before you bopk an appt- cl is okay in certain cases if you can verify multiple ter reviews by reviewers who have reviewed multiple people.

I'd start with the newbies manual at the top of the faq for newbies board and read the whole thing before I'd venture in if I were you.

A few tips -

1)  Smart ladies screen, and smart hobbyists, and particularly newbies, visit smart ladies.  The fact she didn't ask for a reference is a concern, but not necessarily red flag.  A lot depends on what else you know about her.

2)  If the only information you have is her CL ad, YOU KNOW NOTHING.  Anyone can a erotic services ad on CL, including some very hot ladies, some very scary women, the police, and even your's truly (just to show how easy it is to post a fake ad).

3)  You googled her number, SMART!  Did you search the TER database for her number?  Leave the city blank, and enter only her phone number.  While you are searching try this - based on you handle, I'm assuming that you are from Albuquerque, search with Albuquerque in the location field, or 505 in the area code, again leave the city blank, and you will find a few well reviewed providers.  Of course you will want to invest in a VIP membership in order to see all of the details.

4)  GOOD NEWS FOR YOU!!!  Last week TER added 3 new regional boards, and New Mexico (?!?) was one of them!  It hasn't had much traffic yet, but there are 3 ads for providers, all with good reviews, that will soon be visiting.  This also a good place for you to ask if anyone know the lady you scheduled to meet, or for any recommendations.

I have found that if you spend enough time reading TER and have a VIP membership you can find more than enough well reviewed ladies to fit your desires. Getting them to see you when you don't have provider references may be difficult but certainly not impossible.

If it were me I would call her back and cancel. I wouldn't leave her hanging though.

My opinion...

As a provider I have some suggestions.

If you are new to the hobby you want your first time to be a great time.  To have a better chance of that you are far better off dating a known professional who has a positive review history here on TER.

The difference is $100 and a world apart. A girl without reviews, and especially a girl only working CL is a red flag.

How to tell a profesional:
She wants YOU to have a good time, and she wants to have a good with with you too.  When you are with her, you forget that you are helping her out with a little rent money and you are reluctant to leave afterward.

1) She has a review history on TER (some girls have reviews on local sites too)

2) She owns her own .com web domain.  Not just an ad on some escort site.  Though this isn't a given, but it shows a long term investment in themselves.

3) If she's on CL, (many top girls are) she will ALSO have a paid ad on Eros or other top site.  Key word is paid.  It cuts out a lot of the riff raff.

4) When you call her she answers, or calls you back within 24 hours or so.  Same with e-mail, though perhaps longer.  And if she's nice on the phone, she will probably be nice in person too. Being aware also that girls often have limited phone chat time, so be polite and to the point.

And when you make your choice, take a bath, brush your teeth and have a great time!

And if you get bored with the girl-girls... I'm always waiting across the street...

square one and start over.  CL is a bad place to look for ladies and reviews found there can't be worth much.

The whole point of TER is to take away the worries of TOFTT, getting ripped off or scammed, or worse. Do some more research and then make the call. And stay away from craigslist.

She doesnt ask for references.
She has no reviews posted, and for the ones she has had, she admits they "usually" gets flagged.
Phone number "only" goes to CL.

Yes.  I would be worried.  

Any provider, should always always always ask for references.  If she doesnt, she doesnt care who she see's, she is just out for the $$ and my gut is telling me, this wont be a very memorable experience for you, and by that I mean pleasurable.  

If a provider doesnt have any reviews, then she has a no review policy and will never tell anyone "they usually get flagged" which tells you they arent worth crap, fake, or they are bad and SHE flags 'em.

Or...she could be LE.  But even LE can come up with something to make you feel at ease...something!  Yes...be worried.

Call her up and tell her your sorry but you have to cancel, but will keep an eye out for some reviews, etc and will be back in contact.  If she gets pissy about it, you know she isnt worth the trouble.  If she is understanding (legitimately) I would still wait...without any feedback from reviews, you basically are going to TOFFT, or worse.  And as long as these guys continue to see these girls in these type incidents, they will continue to rip everyone off.  The only way to stop them is not to see them.

Take the advice of the members who posted.  Search TER for well reviewed providers.  Dont see anyone who doesnt ask for references!!  Stick to your gut, you'll come out better in the long run.  And by posting your question, me thinks your gut is trying to tell you something...lol
