Let  us not forget that "multicultural" is not synonymous with "multi-etnicity".
And let us be specific as to "Indian" which, presumably, means of origin in the Indian sub-continent (as opposed to the native Americans mislabeled by that Genoese sailor working for the Spanish).
Dilemma #1: India has diverse ethnic groups.
Dilemma #2: How would you classify a person from Bangla Desh or Pakistan or Sri Lanka? Geographically, they would classif as originating from the Indian sub-continent. But their cultures differ widely.
A tamil from Sri Lanka will feel a closer relationship with a Tamil from South India than with a fellow citizen (of Sri Lanka) of the Sinhalese ethnic group.
As for "Asian", it gets even murkier.
I happen to know a gentleman (business connection) who is a citizen of Norway (born there!) of Pakistani origin who is married to a lady who was born and grew up (in Pakistan) down the block from where the gentleman's parents used to live.

BTW I am a white guy - or "haole" in Hawaiian.

Seriously almost every provider I've seen has been multicultural.  But when I review these wonderful ladies I have to choose only one ethnicity, and I usually pick the one that's not caucasian.

There are Indian providers that sometimes get listed as Asian or Middle Eastern but that's not very accurate.

Or you could have the option to write in the ethnicity if it's not in the drop-down menu.

I love your suggestion as I am multicultural!
Just as the census gives us the "other" option, we should have that choice here. An alternative would be the ability to choose more than one ethnicity for the provider.

Now we have four cents on the table ;-)

including Sri Lanka.  This is because Indians are very different from East Asians.  I'm a dark-skinned South Indian and don't like being called Middle Eastern because I'm not.

Multicultural can mean lots of things but I see it  as a better word for multiracial since there is only one race, the Indy 500...I mean the human race.

So I would add South Asian, East Asian, and multicultural or have a write-in option or let reviewers pick multiple options.
