Unless you're married and fellow convention goers know your wife, I don't see the problem. Even then, it's not overly daunting. It's not really anybody else's business - and the Vegas people have seen it all, they aren't really too concerned about what consenting adults do. You don't owe anybody any explanations and unless you work hard at looking self-conscious and guilty, it won't occur to them to ask. Don't borrow trouble by acting guilty, just go about your business. The alternative is to recognize that you're not temperamentally suited to the hobby and walk away... only you can make that call. Good luck.

Well I have been a ferocious reader the last couple of months and if TER had an exam I think I am a solid "B+".
Let me trace the history for the benefit of other Newbies.I found this site after thinking about meeting a provider on CL. Thank goodness I did not.I almost immediately bought the VIP with a credit card(1st mistake).VIP is mandatory!
After reading the reviews I think I have a provider(Independent is the route in Vegas) that is a GFE and loves what she does.
I contacted the provider by e-mail(her web site said it was the best way to contact her) and trusted her with my personal and business info. Within a couple of days(back and forth e-mails) I was booked(Las Vegas).  I booked 3 hours at a high end Hotel@9pm. I know some think this too long. We have not made plans yet on how we will meet.  She does knows the Hotel and she knows the room is booked my name. She also has my cell #. I still haven't decided about getting a hobby phone.

Anyway I am concerned that she will not be able to get to room at that hour without me. I am at a convention and do not want to seen with her. I am sure she will be noticed. Any suggestions? Also do the security guards know the providers? So if one of the convention attendees asks the guard about who was that with so and so will they know the provider? Or because the security guards know the high end providers do they wink as they pass by.  I know I am being really paranoid but I would rather plan now.

BTW all you posters are great. Thank you for all the great information it seems to be working so far.

at the bar, buy some drinks and go to the elevator for a ride to a joyous 3 hours.  Act like you belong.  After all, she is a business acquaintance and you are going to prepare and/or study up in your room.

In Vegas it depends upon the hotel.

Some require a room key to access the elevators, particularly at night.  Others don't monitor other than by camera.

And so long as a girl isn't actively working the casino they couldn't care less if you have a friend visit your room.

A few are really ANAL - MGM-Mirage resorts in particular.

If you are really concerned about being seen with her by other convenitoneers (who are too busy arranging their own hook ups to notice yours... giggle) just arrange to meet her in a discrete location and simply give her a key to the room.

Have her give you a few minutes head start, then she can just go up on her own and meet you.

Tell her your LAST name too - it's really embarrassing after you just told the elevator guard your "husband" is waiting in your room, and you don't know his last name or what name the room is registered under.

Giggle,
TS Jamie :-)

These other posters have it.

Not to make you paranoid, but I've had to duck security guards at Vegas Hotels, but only for local talent. If it's someone in town for the AVN, probably no worries there. I've seen girls get pulled from casinos right under my grasp as I've been chatting them up (god I hate that..) One girl in particular (my ATF actually...) I had pulled from a center bar at NY NY, was banned at the Venetian where I was staying.

This doesn't really cover what your asking directly, but others did that, if your CAREFUL treat it like a spy-mission or something you'll be fine. Just get to that room and knock her around it for 3 hours for god's sake brother!!!

I think your being overy paranoid to be honest, and I'm pretty damn paranoid.

Thanks for the info. I am sure it will go smooth.

BTW I am following your 1-1-1 process for the 3 hours. I doubt it will work. I don't think I will make it through the 1st hour just getting to know her.LOL

Ok

You guys have sparked my spy mind!

1st yes married and yes they know my wife.

But I am a pretty friendly guy. Maybe I just tip the security guard(the Vegas way) and tell him my wife (daughter) is on her way in.

She walks in gives my name and walla!

Or am I dreaming?

The easiest way to get her past security are...

a) meet her and escort her past security
b) she has a key from a different time, and walks right past.

Both are pretty common.  If she's cool, and you should have determined that by now, you can explain the situation to her.  You can either meet up with her and drop a key for her to grab, or casually stroll towards the elevator with her close enough for security to know that you're together, but for people that know you to be uncertain.  Plausible deniability is the key.

Personally, I love the feeling of walking through a hotel with a beautiful woman fawning over me, but at times that's not practical.  Just play it cool until you get to the room, and it'll be fine.
