He is the best of all-time, period.

He has dominated Federer in his career, going 23-10 against him. And barring injury, he will add to his slam titles of 14, while Federer is done.

I thought Djokovic might get him this time but Rafa was too strong-His record warrants that he is the greatest clay courter of all time-and I'd put Borg second with 6 French crowns-

crown yet-Rafa rules the clay and is dominant over Fed-He is a bad matchup for Roger as his big topspin kicks high to Roger's backhand, which creates a big advantage for Nadal-and I agree, Fed is done winning Slams--While Nadal owns Novak Djokovic on the dirt at Roland Garros, he doesn't on other surfaces-the tally is 23-19 for Rafa over Nole now but IMHO, Novak will come out on top in the head to head eventually-I'll withhold GOAT until they're done-Rafa could win 4 or 5 more French's, but We'll see how he does in the other Slams-If he beats Nole there, which I don't think he can now, I'll agree with you-

...his 14th in 2008 at age 32.  Nicklaus didn't win his 14th until he was 35.

Pete Sampras won 17 Grand Slams.  Life and injuries could get in the way for Nadal as well.

For me though, it's impossible to get over the domination that Rafa has over Federer. It's not even close, match wise, and on many different surfaces too, not just clay.

I would say Rafa 1, Federer 2, Sampras 3 but it is fairly close
