Especially if the provider is communicating with me and giving me updates

Sitting here in the neighborhood waiting for the address. It's 15 minutes past our agreed time and no word.....stood up or wait a bit longer? Highly rated provider....absolutely hate time wasters!

Me too, I don't like that.  Just send me a text and tell me you need another 20  minutes or whatever ever to get ready.

We have so much technology now, cell phone, text, email.

Agreed completely. We put time and planning into this and a little courtesy would be appreciated. She certainly lost my business and that of all the other hobbyists I'll be warning about her!

i've had women arrive late, or not be ready when i've arrived, but they always manage to text me to let me know.

it's been years since i've been kep waiting w/no communication.

i agree, 30 min max, then book outta there.

Thanks Harlowe. By all accounts you are the epitome of class. Many could learn from your professional example.

I'd be gone in 13 min without a text. lol

that would have just ruined my whole day if that happened to me.  If it's looking like I'm gonna be even 1 minute late, I text that very moment.  I hope you can do something fun tonight to take your mind off!

After multiple texts/emails from me yesterday, she finally decided to grace me with a response about an hour ago. Her excuse was that she woke up with a urinary tract infection and was "sorry" she also said "please don't hold a grouch against me" WTF?
So clearly the UTI affected her ability to even send a courtesy message and now that I see she is also illiterate, there is zero attraction despite her good reviews. It did ruin my entire day. I don't hobby often (see my name) and when I do, I take great care to ensure that I am punctual and a perfect gentleman. This foolish provider would have received some of the gifts she listed on her P411 page had she been available as I brought them with me to surprise and delight her. If anyone wants to know who this unprofessional, illiterate provider is, PM me and I'm happy to let you know privately.

we went through with it, any longer than that without a text and I'm in too crappy a mood anyway

Agreed 100%. It takes away all the intrigue and anticipation when you're in a bad mood. Waste of time = useless provider IMHO

Especially if the provider is communicating with me and giving me updates

I once waited three hours for a provider, but she was communicative.  Her car had broken down.  I really wanted to see her, so hung out at a mall for a bit.  She kept me updated and I was totally fine with it.

Sidenote: when we did finally get together, this was the one time my junk failed to rise to the occasion.  I wasn't upset with her, but I'm wondering if the whole thing just took the wind out of my little sails.

Sounds like what happened to me recently. Sent requested info weeks in advanced. Sent confirmation email a few days before our appointment. Then it started to go downhill.....what hotel are you at? Uh, it was in the confirmation email. Can we meet at a later time? Sure I guess since the start time was set weeks ago. Can we reschedule for another day? Um, no I fly out in the morning. Sent an email 20 minutes after the rescheduled time and still have not heard back. That was over the last weekend in June.

Unfortunately, I did not have a "Plan B" since the provider was highly reviewed.

Sorry to hear it happened to you too. Seems to happen all too frequently in this hobby and it's a shame that the flakes (highly rated or otherwise) don't get filtered out. There are so many fabulous, professional providers out there that don't need the bad reputation blanketed on the hobby because of the flakes. The good news is that Karma is a bitch and the golden rule applies here as it does everywhere. I have received numerous PM's from fellow hobbyists asking who my flake was and as a result, they have removed her from their "must see" list of providers. Soo....one bad flake = lost business and a tarnished reputation for the provider....as it should be.

This was a provider I REALLY wanted to see because I read so many good things about her.
She directed me to her hotel, texted "give me 10 minutes."
So I went into the lobby lounge and waited for her to text me her room number. And waited. And waited.

I texted her a few times, never angry. I was very patient. I left after 1 hour and 45 minutes.

This happened July 9, 2016, Saturday in Culver City. I drove 20 miles to get there.

I still haven't heard back from her.
