I am newbie friendly and when a client does't have current references or work information available (believe me there are lots of self employed gents out there) I require his personal information for screening.
I believe that you'll be able to find other providers that have the same system. Just joining P411, TER or other reference sites help but in my case, I never take it as the only form of screening. I believe that it's quite understandable that myself and many other providers require to know how we'll be in private quarters with.
I am based in Vegas and visit LA from time to time. My next LA tour is scheduled for 5/18-22 at LAX area and I usually have no problem giving references for gentleman I've seen even if only once, as long as everything went well and it was a pleasant time. When another provider contact me for client referral, I inform her if he is a regular or was just a one time visit. Good luck out there and be safe!

Hello I left the hobby for a number of years and now have an itch to come back to it. But Im self employed. How do I get pass the initial verification when all my refrenced providers are gone or retired?
Real name, address, drivers license. If you a concerned about giving this info to a strange lady, try a verification service like P411. You'll have to provide the same info, but only one time and that are off shore, so it is a little safer. And yes, there are some very strange ladies doing this...
modest website for your business or a LinkedIn profile that they can look up on their own, that has a business phone number they can call to talk to you. Who knows, a website might even get you enough extra business to cover your hobbying?
A brand new web site, if it doesn't have a physical address or a linked in can set off red flags.
If you've been in business for any reasonable amount of time your business should be on google as a registered business within the State of California and a lady may (or may not) accept this information as a vetting tool. Most of the times you can include this link within your email
there are plenty of newbie friendly providers .. find one .. meet her ... and then use her as a reference and build on that.
many indie providers will not answer a reference request unless you are a regular. Otherwise, what's in for them to bother with it? While I agree it will work, it may take more than one visit before an indie will agree to be a reference for you. Never list them as a reference without clearing it with them first.
