A residence with a dedicated massage room, a pro table, towel warmer, soothing music, candles or dimmable lights, carpeted floors (quiet), temperature set just right, some air movement near my face, and a shower would be awesome with the right masseuse.  Bonus points for a huge shower and bathing me afterwards to get the oil off.  
   
 I really like a pro massage table (with a face hole) so I can breathe easily during the face down session.  A table with a cradle is okay, but doesn't feel as sturdy to me.  
   
 Portable tables tend to be skinny but I'm wide and my arms keep falling down.  Skinny tables also make it harder for the masseuse to climb on top, and I like back walking, among other things.  But skinny tables also make it easier for the masseuse to access your body - it's a trade off.  
   
 And whether it's a regular massage, a happy ending massage, or a tantra session then I don't want to hear people talking in the room next door.  That's one of my biggest gripes about massage parlors - hearing someone else.  
   
 I usually take a massage every week when I'm not travelling, and use the same massage parlor.  They know the quality of massage is my major focus, and that a happy ending is not always required; but sometimes we both want more and that can happen too.  Would much rather use a private residence though.
