Hi guys,

Thanks for your responses. I have been searching diligently for an attorney, but I don't have the fee they're asking. There has to be an attorney who is very thorough and ethical, but will work with me on arrangements(or is that only in the movies)? Really need to speak to someone soon.

Thanks

I was cited for violations 103 and 107 "No escort permit".  Went to court and found out the DA charged me with "solicitation of prostitution"--a much bigger infraction! All because the cops lied about what happened at a friend's place(not mine) who does massage also. Nothing happened. I did not make an offer to him, but he stated this in the report, detailing me leading him to a bedroom etc. None of that happened. When I opened the door, 7 cops came rushing in. How could I have made anyone an offer? These guys are little shits! If I'm exonerated, I will sue their asses off. Pigs! How can I fight this? The evidence they have are pics of another girl, but not me. Also, I'm not the one he spoke to over the phone. What defense do I have?

You don't want to navigate the legal system on your own.

If I had to draw an analogy, it's kind of like white water
rafting.  Seemingly small decisions and actions taken
along the way can have huge consequences later down the road.

You need to get a good lawyer who can tell you your options
and fight with you every step of the way.  Get references for
a lawyer who is familiar with this stuff.  And don't skimp
on a lawyer either!

good luck,

This is a tough situation to be in, since your case may boil down to your word versus the word of multiple cops.  Juries don't have to believe the cops but usually will.  There are motions your lawyer (don't even think about handling this on your own) can file to see if these officers were accused of similar misconduct in other cases, and if they have been that will help you a lot.

Get yourself the best lawyer you can afford (and remember that the best ones are not necessarily the most expensive), even if you have to borrow in order to pay the fee.  If you really can't afford a private attorney, the public defender will be able to help.  People often talk about PDs as if they are incompetent, but they are usually very good lawyers.  The problem is that they are also very busy and don't have as much time for each case as they should.  But if you can't afford to pay a private attorney for a lot of time anyway, the PD is probably your best bet.

You don't say where you are.

And face it, about the dumbest thing a lawyer could do would be get involved with a client, ESPECIALLY in a case like this.  E.g., in CA, involvement with a client is just about malpractice per se, and inviting that sort of relationship is asking for a lawyer who thinks with the wrong head.

OTOH, you might very well find experienced people whose brains you could pick very usefully on this basis.

In the end, everybody is responsible for their own defense - your lawyer won't do the time.  So you need to take mental control of your defense - and public defenders are usually competent, they just don't have the time and resources.  You can help them be more efficient in many cases.

And you may have to deal with the reality of a plea as being the best deal, and consider changing your state afterwards.

BE VERY CAREFUL on who you hire these attorneys in OC are very crooked, i spent $3000 on attorney #1 a former OC prosecutor, he didn't bother to show up for court , i requested e make motions to have case dismissed  there were many reasons, but he told the DA i had no problem pleading guilty and serving jail. so i hired another firm paid the $2500 depost, they promised to make motion then refused after they got my money. i got #3 he revied my case felt bad for me only charged $2000 he wanted to go to trial , but i was broke  and i live on the east coast, just colud not afford to fly cross country .hotels rental car etc. so after a year of stress and hell i got stuck with what i would have got with no attorney except i was 10 grand in the hole,,so i got screwd they got my cash that is prostitution..they win

dear no luck call the bar file a small clams suit. Many onthier you can do.Lawery do not want  figth about something they can lose Do not let them get away with this  Lawery

If an attorney offers to represent you in a barter arrangement, don't do it.  An attorney who is unwise and unethical enough to do that is not going to do a good job for you.

If you have some $ put away, this is what it is for so use it.  If not, rely on the PD's office.  They know what they're doing and are very dedicated.  As someone else already said, they just don't have enough time to do everything they should be able to do for their clients.

First when i got busted, the cop said he will give me a ticket for public nudity ( i showed him my boobs in the car after he let me touch his private ), then they were asking me questions, i stayed silence, they got mad , they hand cuffed me , put me to jail and charge me 647b PROSTITUTION.

The cops denied the fact that he showed his private and let me touch it. He should have got a ticket, too.
